plug-in supposed to allow you to add simple VFR objects (water towers, antennas, trees...), to your FS2020 scenery !
To get VFR objects that you want in your scenery, you just have to :
1.open the WinApp_add_VFR_object.exe
2.open/create a new .csv file
3.fill one raw in the table per object that you want to put (some pictures of them are available in the object_img folder).
4.click on "save table in the .csv file
5.click on compile and choose the .csv files you want to add in your scenery
6.wait about 30 seconds so that the bgl compiler achieve its work.
7.Close the new terminal using any keystroke.
8.Fly !
Tip : to put coordinates using google maps, just copy them and past them in the text box above the table and validate.
Caution : an object without a name won't appear !
Installation process :
Just copy the two folders (add_VFR_object and VFR_object_scenery) in your Community folder (where FS2020 has been installed in your computer). The SDK is not necessary.
Add other objects :
If the objects that you want aren't availaible in the app, you can add them manually. To do so, you need to use the developper mode and create a project, then a scenery with the objects that you want. After that, check in the folders of your project the .xml file associated with your scenery and get the id number of the objects (they are between located { }). Finally, add the object in the param_objects.txt with this syntax :
name;id_number;height
More simple, you can also ask in comments and I will update the object list regularly ^^
Big thanks to Soulao and Haroku for their help !

Very interesting addon! Just a simple question: does ´height´ in your instructions refer to the height of the object or the altitude above ground level?

Salut.
Merci d'avance.

Hello again, The script works fine for all 'object types' except for the object 'KATL_VOR'. This object does not show up in the simulator although the other objects do ... I have tested all available objects but for KATL_VOR no success. I am pretty sure there is a problem with that object ... Any ideas or suggestions ? Thanks, Marc

I am really excited about your program. I wanted to try it out by placing three antennas at 34.705967460421384, -118.17688127133226 - it is radio station.
I copy the three different coordinates, name them, and select Seattle Radio antenna. I save the new .cvs file and compile. But every time I get errors.
Any suggestions?

Would you consider to take a VOR as object in your next release of the application ? Maybe this one can help: https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/515ece02495956e4cda8caf3502f8196/MAR-VOR-DME?hl=nl
Thanks.

Just to confirm that your application works fine for me and I can easily add the pre-defined objects on the correct and precise locations.
Now, I am interested in adding new objects different from the SDK. What I understood from the high level description in your release notes come down to create a new scenery with the object ( eg https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/515ece02495956e4cda8caf3502f8196/MAR-VOR-DME?hl=nl ) and to note the object id in the xml file. That information together with a name and height needs to be appended in the param_objects.txt file. I assume you have to add the new project folder with the Package together with your two folders in the Community folder. Correct ?
As you can see, I miss some more detailed ‘guidelines’ ...or what more context. I do have limited experience in creating 3D Google images in msfs2020 by using a kind of decoder for downloading the textures/scene images...that’s all...😊

I click on "new", I fill the empty box with a name (for example "toto")
I select the type of object, for example "Water_Tower_FR" I fill in the "add object (google map)" box and click, which automatically fills in the "Lat, Lon and height" boxes in the table.
On the same line I complete the "Name" box (with "toto").
Then I click on "save table in the .csv file".
I check that I get in the "object_datas" folder a "toto.csv" file with the format "0; toto; 48.679579; 2.183614; 15.0".
Finally I click on "compile", I check "toto.csv", then I click on "yes" and immediately appears and instantly disappears a black MsDos window , that I do not have time to read.
And nothing happens or appears in FS2020.
No malware found in the PC with Malewarebytes
Do you see an explanation?
For information, I copied your 2 unzipped files from community folder located = E: \ STEAM \ steamapps \ common \ MicrosoftFlightSimulator \ Packages \ Community.
And I get the same result if I copy the 2 folders in Community created by MSFS =
C: \ Users \ phil \ AppData \ Roaming \ Microsoft Flight Simulator \ Packages \ Community
Would there be a relationship?
Thank you in advance

I am very interested in your software but when I run the compile the msdos console does not appear (it opens and closes instantly).
I specify that the .csv file is in the "object_datas" folder, with the correct format, and with or without anti-virus.
do you see a solution?
2nd question: should you run "WinApp_add_VFR_object.exe" before? or after FS2020? or it doesn't matter.
3 is there complementary software to install?
Thank you in advance for your reply

I do have two questions:
1) why do we have to copy both folders to the community folder ? Should the one vfr_object_scenery not sufficiant ?
2) can you add the ‘vor’ hub object in a next release ? Thanks
