| # In-game Model Matching & VATSIM Matching Rules
Important update note:
From version 0.6.0.0, this model matching can be used either along in the game or in VATSIM

A good model matching can bring both game flights & Vatsim flights as close to reality as possible. This community-driven open source project aims to provide an immersive experience to the community. To maximize the gaming experience, you can also start a request on our Github. All requests will be responded as soon as I can. The vatsim model matching rules are originally based on BritishAvgeek's previous work and deeply modified based on the custom models we have. It is my honor to have your contribution. (Users can replace all vmr files in BritishAvgeek's work)
# Instruction:
1. You need to download the "ivao_x_csl" folded (extracted from the IVAO client) and put it into your MSFS2020 community folder
2. Extract the Aircraft Booster Pack and put additional contents into the "ivao_x_csl" folder (Copy and Replace)
For VATSIM users:
3. Place all downloaded vmr files in the "vPilot files" folder
4. Add model matching files in vPilot client
5. Make sure VATSIM_Model_Matching_Master-Plato.vmr is on top in vPilot

For better tracking, please edit at the bottom of both vmr files.

Model matching files are widely available on Flightsim.to, you can add them to vPilot as well.
For Airline/Livery model matching, this is the most comprehensive one as far as I know.

For all captains, thanks for downloading.
Start from v0.5.0.0, more aircraft models will be added to the ivao folder.
Please carefully follow the "Additional models" section for installation.

I asked VATSIM group about their thoughts on this particular addon - and I was told this breaks the ToS - the fact that we are instructed to download and use models from IVAO and copy them for use in VATSIM.
Any way to confirm this? I do NOT want to lose my VATSIM access, if that makes sense.

This is awesome. But I do get ghost aircraft. I can see the label but no model is rendered. Any way to fix that?

When I try and install this my game never loads up anymore. It keep freezing at the pic of the Pilatus. Is this happening to anyone else?

That means in vpilot program,and go to the setting,Modelmatching,and Click +and you can see Costom Roles.

With VATSIM and vPilot, so many aircrafts are floating over the ground and have no landing gears. All the smaller GA aircrafts like Cessna 152, 172 etc. are always shown as a simple ugly generic low wing aircraft with no gears. And some aircrafts are totally invisible, although i can see it in Little Navmap etc. What is wrong...? Thanks!

As much as I like Airbus A320's... there's far too many and there's a disturbing lack of B737s. Please fix.

Hi i can't get this to work. i have reinstalled the mod several times. Vpilot display nothing when i type .aircraft and the ai is show as generic asobo models and liveries in game

ivao_x_csl causing some problems and stop working completely. Any solution for that? I guess we just need to wait till Asobo make some changes how we see the traffic.

I'm having an issue with the vmr/vpilot if you can help. For some reason some model matching rules aren't appearing to work on VATSIM. e.g. After trying this in Australia, Jetstar and Virgin rules aren't registering, however Qantas is. When I type .aircraft in vPilot QFA aircraft are matching the rule set, but JST and VOZ aren't, and are being auto generated. I have all 3 vmr files selected in the correct order and have both the ivao models and booster pack installed. Do you have any advice?

Unfortunately, most model matching for the A320 and B737 family aircraft seems to be broken after WU6. The A320s just show up as generic and the B737s are invisible...

when you say the Booster pack are you talking about the new altitude files that overwrite the old IVAO file ?

I have a problem with the modelmatching not adding in the 737s and just replacing them with default aircraft, even though there is a model for the airline with the plane. Is this something I can fix, or do I have to wait for some kind of update?

I have some issues with certain aircraft types. A321s are not rendering for example. Switching the rules out for models I know work (EZY A320, BAW 788) works, then they pop up, but as soon as you put A321 models there, they disappear again. Same for all of the B737/738/739. x-csl freshly installed from IVAO and from here, tried several vmr files, no change. Also, 3D Models and config files of A321 and the Boeings don't seem corrupted when inspected. Any ideas on what might be the reason? Thx in advance

It's a problem on some ivao's models (737s, A321...) after WU6. The model gets loaded but it's invisible.
