New Hampshire Valley Field (ICAO: NH00)
Valley Field is a fictional airfield located near Dixville Notch, New Hampshire within the White mountain range. Chosen for a scenic flight through valleys with small lakes and the small town. It is built on a converted golf course.
Version 2.0 overhaul
- A rather large rework of the Runway layout has been undertaken. To both make it more functional as a regional airfield and ease of use for general aviation craft. The headings of each end have shifted from runway 27 to 26 and 9 to 8 to allow for an increase in length.
- The runway now measures 1980ft (605m) and allows for runway 8 to be completely unobstructed for takeoffs and landings. The apron for the lower section has been reworked slightly to match the new layout. The approach to runway 26 is still a tricky one as a steep mountain and treeline prevents a normal glideslope.
- Taxiway-A still requires throttle up, but now with the new layout any speed from landing on runway 8 can be carried into the turn off for taxiway-A to get up the slope.
Version 1.2 Description
- Valley field is a very challenging location for pilots. Both runway approaches are exceptionally difficult, flanked by mountains and direct approaches are not possible with mountain tops and tree lines obscuring a straight path.
- Topped off with a very short runway measuring only 1560ft (478m). Further adding to challeges, taxiway 'A' must be done on a steep slope to reach the Valley Field's main apron and facility . It is recommended to throttle up to get up the slope and to be checking the brakes on the way down.
- I will be leaving the v1.2 file up for thsoe who liked the extra challenge of that layout. Going forward all work will be done on v2's layout.

nice location and nice concept for the parking zone. One of my favourite location, especially for a flight to another nice place nearby: Eagle Peak

This wouldn't work. It's "unique" but is highly impractical.

Version 2 works fine as a practical airfield
