ATA: MSO, ICAO: KMSO, FAA LID: MSO
KMSO is an airport in the Montana Rockies. MSO sees airline traffic from the major airlines as well as business jets and a plethora of general aviation. In September 2021, the airport changed its name from Missoula International Airport to Missoula Montana Airport
This scenery is an improvement over the default airport.
I understand that a new terminal opened up earlier this year. The terminal in sim is default and is around the same shape as the old terminal. I don't have any plans at the moment to model the new terminal, but might consider it in the future. Documentation of the new terminal is sparse and isn't even in satellite images yet.
What has changed:
- Taxiway signs are more accurate and names match real world names
- Taxiway lines corrected
- Additional Parking (Spawns) on GA ramp
- Terminal parking updated with correct gate numbers
- Terminal parking painted lines more accurate to real life
- Added jetway to gate 3B
- Papi lights corrected for RWY 30
- Static details added
- Terrain issues fixed hopefully
- Missing Buildings added
- GSX profile included
Just extract and drop into community folder
GSX config file goes in "C:\Users\*USER*\AppData\Roaming\virtuali\GSX\MSFS" by default.
Some GSX parking spots might be off for some aircraft, specifically the CRJ family. I'm not sure how to line it up for all aircraft. From what I can tell you can only line it up for one aircraft. I lined up almost all of them for the PMDG 738, but I know the fenix a320 is just short of the parking line.
Please let me know if you notice anything wrong or anything you would like see changed!

Hey Micmuffin,
Just curious on where the kmso-4mchus.ini file in the zip is suppose to go, or if it was just a dev file that got misplaced? I don't remember seeing in 0.4 release

That is the GSX config file that goes in the file path listed in the description.
If you do not have GSX or just don't want to bother, you can ignore it.

Looks like the western GA parking is missing. That would be the other FBO at the airport, Minuteman.

So I live here and this awesome. Thank you so much. If you'd like reference material let me know and I'd happily get some pictures of the public areas.

Hey Micmuffin,
I think you need to re-up your zip file, but without all the additional folders. I was able to figure out the "Packages" folder was what contained KMSO folder and updated files.

Fixed. Thanks for letting me know!

I did a flight today from KKLS to KMSO. On the way there I was getting over 60fps. When I got to KMSO it was getting dark and snowing. After landing, my frame rate went to 2.1 fps. The thing I noticed was that the frame rate didn't change at all, no matter which way I looked or trying to move around the airport. I shut down Rex weather force and still the frame rate didn't change. I finally had to shut down the sim. I'll try again to just start there and see what happens. I've never had this happen with any plan or scenery. Even if it got low frame rate, the numbers still changed even if only 1 or 2 numbers.
Started at KMSO and the frame rates are above 60. However, seemed strange that although last night it was froze at 2.1, I could still move around verry slow and shuddery. I might do that flight again just to see, but it's not the scenery.

It believe it is related to the cloud server which causes extremely strange behaviors. I have found any flights longer than 30-60 minutes, framerates always drop. By the time I get to the destination, it is usally a slideshow. This does not occur on any of my other sims, DCS, XP12, etc. The cloud-based server was a very stupid idea, however necessary, as you cant really store exobytes worth of world data on your PC. We'll need another ten years for a fix, I would assume. But I believe these stutter, frame rate issues are not related to graphics cards, but this terrible server Asobo uses.

Nice and light! Thanks.
