This fire season, you may see our the new A320 Large Air Tanker (LAT) overhead - a firebombing aircraft that will be available to assist NSW RFS all year-round.
The new addition to the NSW RFS aerial firefighting fleet, named Marie Bashir, will be based at RAAF Base in Richmond and can operate from some regional airports. It will be able to reach all parts of NSW within an hour.
The A320NEO and its two lead planes will support our crews on the ground by providing fast, flexible and effective firefighting options.

The people of NSW will this season be protected from bushfires by the single largest aerial fleet of any fire agency in Australia.
