Introduction:
Kernan Aviation (http://www.kernanaviation.co.uk/) operates a fleet of microlight aircraft out of a home strip about two miles north of the town of Tandragee, Northern Ireland. The field is as described in their site, a home strip. There is a 300m long asphalt runway with just 3.5m width. The runway intersects a road and has a generally North-South direction (actually 350-170 magnetic). There is an equivalent length grass runway to the east just over the small stream where students practice grass tngs and emergency landings. The field sports three roomy hangars, a clubhouse and a briefing house, as well as outdoor seating and barbecue facilities.
I made this scenery for a good friend who flies off this field and did not have it in FSX back in 2014. I revived it now almost from scratch for MSFS. The field did not exist in FSX but it exists as EGVU in MSFS
Airfield data:
Runways:35 - 17, Asphalt, 985x12ft, (The runway still has markings as 36-18 despite the change in magnetic variation)
35 - 17, Grass, 1056x12ft
Elevation : 78 ft
Location: N 54.386307, W 6.400124
Above data is not 100% verified so I am open to corrections.
About the scenery:
Compared to the FSX version the MSFS scenery includes all recent additions to the field, including one more hangar, the asphalt runway and its extension south. the runway and taxiways have custom markings. The area around has been adapted to reflect reality as much as possible. All buildings were custom made from photos of the originals.
Scenery Installation:
Unpack the file and copy the "vdi-egvu" folder in your MSFS Community folder
Using the scenery:
Airport can be found as EGVU in MSFS starting screen. There are runway starting points at 17 and 35 as well as 5 parking spots. Runway 35 side has a steep slope. It is ideal to take off from 17 and land on 35, the opposite is difficult due to the up slope on 35 and the trees on 18.
The grass runway is to the west and is parallel to the asphalt one.
A special thanks to Vitus for the fantastic Blender MSFS addon.
The scenery is freeware. Redistribution is not allowed without my permission. Contact: [email protected]
I would do my best to reply to questions but please use the email with restraint and caution.

Hello Dimus,
First thanks ofcourse for creating this nice NI airport.
Can you recompile it with the SU6 compiler or confirm it is compatible with SU6 in another way?
Kind regards
