This folder contains a repaint for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.1A by Aeroplane Heaven. It shows Spitfire Mk.1a N3277 AZ-H in the colors of the luftwaffe. This aircraft was captured by the German Army near Cherbourg in August 1940 when P/O Hardy had to make a forced landing after being damaged by a Bf-109 of JG53 near the Isle of Wight. He became a prisoner of war, while N3277 was repaired by the Germans, repainted in Luftwaffe colors and sent to Germany for evaluation.Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aeroplane Heaven.

Gorgeous aircraft, but seeing it with the Luftwaffe livery always makes me do a double take. Thank you for designing this! Looks great. 😊

Post-irony via Luftwaffe livery on Spitfire is something, that I haven't expected, but definitely a pleasant surprise, lol. Nonetheless, livery looks great
