During cold war many locations on the german Autobahn were planned to be used as temporary airfields if the actual army airfields would run out of space because of all the NATO aircraft that would've needed to be stationed in germany.

One of those temporary airstrips was a part of the Autobahn A29 in northwestern germany near the city (and former air base) of Ahlhorn. Unlike most of the other Autobahn parts the NLP II/7 was actually used for that purpose. In 1984 a NATO exercise was held at that site to test the concept of the temporary highway airfields which ended up being very successful and promising.

This scenery was requested in the community tab and I thought this would be a welcoming alternation to the stuff I usually do.

It's fun to slam (or butter) your military aircraft onto the german Autobahn without actually breaking the rules of realism.

There are several spots to spawn from:

One runway-start on either end of the runway, 3 cold-and-dark spots that are meant to be used for jets (you can do whatever you want obviously) as well as 1 cold-and-dark spot to be used for helicopters that is located on the west side of the runway.

As well as the Scandinavia World Update and the UK2000 common objects library that can be found inside the MSFS 2020 market place (for free of course).

It looks like a lot of stuff to be downloaded but most of these files are libraries that are being used by many sceneries, so a lot of stuff already sits inside your community folder by now anyway.

Installation:

Open the downloaded file and place the "chrispiaviation_nlp_ii_7_ahlhorn" inside your community folder.
