Paste To > (Replace All) in:
Official > Steam > asobo-aircraft-b787-10 > SimObjects > Airplanes > Asobo_B787_10 > TEXTURE

Third Party Mod Compatibility

If you are using third party improvement mods that change the texture of the cockpit, which may interfere with our improvement mod, please make sure to replace the textures as instructed here, as well as to replace the ones in that improvement mod which you are using in case you want to continue using our improvement textures, instead of the ones provided in the other improvement mod.

In order to download liveries or mods for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, you need to have any kind of file compression software, we suggest using WinRAR, it will help you with any other livery or mod. We can't send you a link, but you can download it for free from the web, you can look at videos online if you're unfamiliar with the process. The process is pretty simple, once you have it installed, you can simply extract the folders from the compressed file and put them into a specific community folder for your Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. A compression tool is required for all MSFS content, as well as a lot of other files that can be downloaded on the internet.

Not sure what I am doing wrong, I cannot get these too work. I have copied the new textures into the Asobo 787 folder and the Heavy Division Mod folder but still the textures don't seem to look any different. The FMC is not black for example as per the pics

I've created a version of this in "community folder mod format" that can just be dropped into the community folder without having to overwrite textures in the official package or Heavy Division mod. Happy to share that with you @FlightFlow, if you want. It really just involved creating a manifest and layout.json file for all your wonderful textures 😊

Excellent work my friend! Does this also fix the fire extinguisher issue that developed a few months back? One semi-recent update broke many 787 liveries. They have been mostly corrected, but one lasting change that was never fixed was in the cabin... the polka dot pink and purple fire extinguisher. Beyond your gorgeous new textures, I'd download this just to get rid of the neon pink glow. Keep up the amazing work!

A fix for Asobo's missing textures will be in a future update of our Improved Textures Mod.

Is this addon compatible with the latest dev build of the heavy division 787 mod?

There are some textures in the heavy division 787 mod, that may interfere with our improvement mod, as they overlap the textures which you are replacing with our mod. In order to change the textures of the heavy division 787 mod, simply copy and paste the textures from our mod, into the TEXTURE folder of the other mod, located here:

B78XH > SimObjects > Airplanes > Asobo_B787_10 > TEXTURE

So when using the Heavy Division Mod, We only need to copy your files to the mod folder ? or to the mod folder + the asobo 787 default location ?

Replacing only the Heavy Division Mod textures would work, but in it aren't included all of our textures, you would miss on other textures that aren't included with that mod, but are included with ours, which is why replacing the textures in both the 78HX folder and the Asobo's folder is preferable, if you want to get the entirety of the improved cockpit textures that we provide.
