Spain 3000km VFR and no GPS

 

The flightplan was made for my own amusement but I was told to upload it anyway so I’m doing it :)

It’s a casual flightplan with plenty of stops so you can take it easy and fly short chunks of it at your leisure. Bellow I’ll include description of my experience with it to give you ideas how to tackle it but all-in-all: “it’s a line on a map and you can choose to follow it.”

 

 

This flightplan was made by roughly tracing my hitchhiking adventure I had years ago. The distances between airports are in a range bellow 100km so it was easy to casually fly whenever I had the time. I kept a log of time and fuel when I landed so next time I loaded the game I could recreate fairly similar state as it was when I left the game.(I sure wish save/load functionality was better). 
I added some time at each airport to simulate non flying stuff people do in real life and to experience more mornings & sunsets as I were if I rushed across the Spain. I just love a good dawn and slight uneasiness when sun is going down and you’re not sure where next airport is. Flying the amazing Cessna l19 - Bird Dog I took my time for sure.
Using littlenavmap with no location of the plane and no path tracing I had to plan my path and be mindful of distinctive features in terrain. I managed to get a bit lost only twice in all the 3058 kilometers.
Crossing the Pyrenees I had some bad weather and had to deviate from the flightplan a bit but this was the only serious occurrence of low visibility I encountered.
