Galaxy Airlines was a US-american airline based in Ft. Lauderdale. It operates between 1978 and 1987.
Galaxy never operated the Douglas DC-6. This fictional livery is based on the Galaxy Airlines Convair 990 with registration N990E.

Wow Thank you for this! "Galaxy" is my longtime adopted call sign. Although they never operated the DC-6, they had a very close cousin the Lockheed 188. The Convair 990, a direct competitor of the more well-known 707, was a first-generation narrow body jet. The actual jet itself, N990E had an interesting foot note in its afterlife: After being scrapped, the word Galaxy was painted over with the phrase "Christ is the Answer". This suggests it may have been purchased by some type of religious organization. I am uncertain if they planned on ever flying it again or just planned on using the hulk as a unique place of congregation, but it appears never to have gotten far beyond the painting over the name Galaxy stage. Thanks again for using your talent to recreate this forgotten plane!

Thanks! Great to see you like the repaint. This airline seems to be pretty unknown on the web. You barely get any info about them - at least not for the US-based Galaxy Airlines. The logo on the tail is made out of scratch. I couldn't even figure out a callsign. I saw that aircraft with the phrase 'Christ is the Answer' whilst my research. Some aircrafts fates are really weird...
