Kokoda AYLK is the start/end of the famous Kokoda Track which follows the WW2 battle across the Owen Stanley range.
Kokoda was the scene of intense fighting between Australian and Japanese forces on and adjacent to the airfield .
Kokoda and the track are now revered sites to Australians (and Japanese)

NOTE: The code AYLK allocated by MSFS is incorrect. The real life ICAO code for Kokoda is AYKO. IATA is KKD. I have no control over misplaced or wrong Asobo codes. I will not reply to any messages referring to incorrect codes.
