Drumheller is another great place to discover on your trip across Canada and the Prairies. If you like bony characters, you'll love the Tyrrell Museum. It's full of them. Dinosaurs that is. Drumheller in the valley gorged out by the Red Deer River and has been a primary location for kids and scientists in their quest to dig up 60 million year old fossils. This old fossic flew there many years ago for a day trip. I never get tired of watching the Rocky mountains grow out of the prairie hoizon to loom large and mighty on a westward flight. Pass Calgary and your in them and the Banff National Park in no time. Wow what scenery.
Watch out for those hydro poles on the north side approaching 17.
Enjoy
Big thanks to Emerald Design for the many flowers, etc that make the scenery special.
