    Description

    Fornebu was the main airport serving Oslo and Eastern Norway from 1939 until it closed in 1998. It was then replaced by Oslo Airport, Gardermoen and the area has since been redeveloped. This is a recreation of what the airport used to look like in the 90s. The scenery features photorealistic ground-coverage and custom made 3D models. This scenery is under development, so it is not 100% finished. I will upload updates as I make progress.

    I want to take the next step: bringing this legendary airport back to the VATSIM network—just like what has been done with Kai Tak.
    I’ve started a petition to gauge the community's interest. 
    If we want a shot at getting official support for sector files and ATC, I need your help!

    NOTE FOR MSFS 2024 USERS - Please install this addon in the Community2024 folder, this makes sure that the included navdata for Fornebu is not overrided by navigraph navdata.

    ICAO IN SIM IS XXFB AS ENFB HAS BEEN REALLOCATED TO AN OIL RIG!

    IMPORTANT! After 1.8 update the folder previously named "2-enfb-navdata" has been included within "1-mariusrisan-airport-enfb-fornebu-airport". You ONLY need the 3 folders included in last update, please remove all old folders!

      • Created a complete NAVDATA package that includes all SID/STAR/VOR/NDB/WAYPOINTS according to published charts from 1997.

    BIG COMPLIMENTS for your scenery: looks really good!
    Thank you very much for reviving this airport.
    I was there many years ago and it is really great to be able to fly there in my sim.

    After watching Chloe Howe's video on a Brathens S.A.F.E flight that went down on approach here ive been enjoying this scenery and even started my MSFS 24 career mode here :D

    Hi again ! Your software is finally working in my sim. And-wow! This is really great. Had to download a clean MSFS2020 and there was the good old ENFB, a fantastic airport. Thank you for your work.
    I have a (small) issue with the ILS-frequencies for RWY 24/06. Using the info in th MSFS map, it seems as if I am flying backbeam apr on both of them. Are they mixed up in the map or am I doing something wrong?

    The first time I flew ever it was in a Fokker F100 from EHAM to Oslo. We went their for Christmas to my oldest brother, who worked there on the dutch embassy. We flew with KLM to the old Fornebu airport . And what a thrilling ride it was. I was scared to death with that approach over the water which was rocky due to high winds and turbulance but it was awesome as well. It seemed the runway was way too short ....
    So thanks for recreating ENFB, love it!!!

    I have trouble getting this to work in MSFS 2020 and a little confused about what exactly shall go into the community folder. Do I need the initial files or is the update 1.8 complete? What I have put into community is the ENFB-1.8 folder with the three subfolders as mentioned. And the sim is v. 1.39.9 as required. Hope someone can help me here.

    Hello.
    Every update is a "complete package" and contains all nessecary files.
    All folders/files (previously was 5 folders I think) from previous versions should be deleted.
    As of last update there are only 3 folders needed.

    Move these 3 folders from inside ENFB-V1.8 to your community folder:
    *1-mariusrisan-airport-enfb-fornebu-airport
    *2-mariusrisan-enfb-3dmodels
    *3-mariusrisan-sattelite

    Sorry for the confusion!

    I have one last questione. Folder 3 is not called "mariusrisan-sattelite" but "enfb-sattelite" when I unpack it. Does that matter?

    can't find the airport with the icao-code enfb in the menu of msfs2024. airport is listed as xxfb.
    Is that correct?

    Yes, XXFB is the ICAO for Fornebu.
    ENFB has sadly been re-allocated to a oil rig.

    If you have Navigraph navdata installed you need to edit the priority of my ENFB packages for it to work properly.
    This can easily be done using the packaging reorder tool found in the "experimental" section in settings in MSFS.
    Please look at the priority-order.jpg in the download file to see how my files should be set up.

    The icao ENFB has been taken by a new comersial Kilen Seaport Base. Your Fornebu airport would not appear in msfs 1.34.16. Only the new one seaport if installed
