    Description

    A simple paintkit for the Beechcraft G58 Baron so people can start creating liveries for it!

     

    This paintkit currently includes:

    • Original textures for the fuselage, wings, engines & livery
    • UV maps for the aforementioned textures (except the livery)
    • PDN files which combine these two things into one (will need paint.net to open these, but you can overlap them manually in Photoshop as well)

     

    The included livery-g58-template folder can be dropped in your Community folder to install it. You can just overwrite the textures in that folder. If you are going to rename the livery and texture folder, make sure to update the entries in aircraft.cfg as well as the layout.json!

     

    If you want a sharper texture, you can just resize the textures to 4K and paint over them, this will increase the quality of your livery but also increase the file size by 4 times, so you have been warned!

    NOTE: The UV mapping of the G58 is awful, so if you want to create a livery I'd suggest using something like Blender instead to paint on the texture, instead of having to deal with the horrible UV mapping (you can still use this paintkit to get the drag & drop install template).

    Hello, does someone have a solution for the small bug: part of ailerons are paints ? I don't it come from the model or the MFS texture mapping. Thanks for the paintkit :)

    Hello. Thanks for providing this repaint kit. I noticed an issue with the kit, which I see some of the repaints have, but not the default aircraft, and I am hoping you might be able to help me understand how to solve it. There's a small rectangular area on the right sign (starboard) vertical stabilizer which is identical to a rectangular area under one of the rear windows (also on the right side). This isn't an issue if the area is a single color, but if you try to paint a stripe on the fuselage, or add text to that area, then it gets copied up to the area on the vertical stabilizer. To reproduce this "bug", paint the right side of the vertical stabilizer ONLY and see that a small area on the right side of the fuselage has also been painted. Any idea how to overcome this issue so that the two areas can be painted separately?

    Got it, I installed Blender and a MSFS Plug and see that they had made the livery "painting" in the 3D Model.
    Oh boy, it seems I have to learn Blender now.

    @R1NS3 Yes these are the colors, but where is the painting himself? The Fuselage_ALBD.png.dds is white with one black part. No Lines and other paintings, like you find for example in the A320NEO_AIRFRAME_FUSELAGE_ALBD.PNG.DDS.

    @FSC190 I think you might want to have a look at the AIRFRAME_PAINT texture in the paintkit, that one contains the colours of the default livery

    Hi, I've done many repaints but I wonder where they cover the albedo texture with the default paint.
    When I open the fuselage dds there is only an white layer.
    different to your KLM Paint.
