The title pretty much says it. I see items in my list of 'unread' every day that I know I'll never want nor need, and I'd love it if I could exclude them from the displayed list. If I ever bought that particular plane and decided that I wanted the liveries, then I could simply go into my exclude list and uncheck it. I'd be fine if you prevented 'Store' items from being excluded, and it would actually give them more presence since there would be less unwanted mods to sift through.
