We previewed it on my stream 2 days ago in a “Tuesday Lesson”. Man, what a beauty and a whole lot extra. Flying Fries always pays attention to quality details, easter eggs, and a flyable plane that meets the real published specs. We couldn’t be more impressed. This one’s a keeper.

This plane is basically, just like the Vertigo, which is freeware, from Got Friends, I’ll pass.

I never leave reviews but on this one I just had too. I only flew Analogue Aircraft prior to this one as I hated Glass Cockpits. But after a friend of mine recommended this one to me I took the plunge and bought it and I have no regrets whatsoever. This plane is not only stunning, it’s a joy to fly. The Glass Cockpit doesn’t feel overcrowded unlike other Aircraft so for a “newbie” Glass Cockpit user it isn’t overwhelming. I use VR 99% of the time and the views out of the bubble canopy are just stunning. The VR seating position is spot on too, unlike other aircraft that need adjusting every time you get in the plane. Love the easter eggs too. Only found one so far, but I’ve only been flying this plane for a few hours. This is one Dev to keep my eye on! Thanks again for an amazing Plane that works in MSFS2020 & MSFS2024! And thanks to this Dev I have been converted to Glass Cockpits so at least I’m keeping up with the new technology😂

Very nice plane. With so many nice features, it is really a joy to fly. I use the RV-14 sound pack, with FSRealistic. Great combo. Now if they would do a “What If” and put just a bit bigger engine in it and get up to around 180 to 200 knots. What great lines on this plane.

That’s total BS. The two planes have almost nothing in common. The Vertigo is more or less a fantasy plane based on the VL3 with a 850hp turbine. It has also side by side seating, and NO damage model or simulated defects. The Gabriel is a tandem seat military trainer with two cockpits, simulated damage and defects, a working fuel system and a much less powerful O320 with only 150hp (a fact that I find strange, since it actually has worse performance than most tandem microlights. The TL Stream is faster and is very close to the Gabriel’s climb performance with only 100hp. And the Gabriel isn’t even an aerobatic aircraft (only +4.4/-2G) which I would have expected from a military trainer. Even a Beechcraft Musketeer is rated for +4.4/-2.2G in the utility category and you aren’t even allowed a barrel roll with that.)

I’m waiting for the XBOX marketplace version.

It’s actually not a military trainer, but a civilian trainer. Very similar in usage to C150/152, or C172 for the fancier flight schools :) And it’s an io-320 (injection, not carburetor) with 160hp. The same as you would find in a C172. But given it’s much better aerodynamics, it performs a bit better than it. Apart from that, you’re right, it’s definitely not a Vertigo, it has nothing in common with it except that it looks sleek :) Thanks for your post, by the way!

It’s already available on FS2020. But FS2024 should arrive soon. That’s what I’ve been told, at least :D The wait shouldn’t be that long. And thank you. I love your movies ;)

Ok understood. From the cockpit layout with engine controls on the left and tandem seating I would have put it in the military category. As a civilian trainer it feels even stranger to be honest :-)

Exactly. Blackshape looked at the military trainers and thought that it could be interesting to apply exactly the same design to civilian training: perfect visibility and a sense of being “alone” and “responsible” for the flight, for the student, while the instructor is still very much present and able to take control at any time.

I like trainers mostly of the military variety. So, seeing this civil trainer with the military-ish seating got my attention.Flying Fries is one of those rare developers I feel can be trusted with a V1 launch product, so I bought it for FS20. It’s beautiful all over. So sleek and so detailed. The fact that there is some damage modeling is frosting. It has a quite different flight model from a military type but can pull off some aerobatics. Mostly its stable quick but not fast and feels like a great plane for students and even some touring. Great for sightseeing and river runs. Also, the Gabriel is not even remotely close to the Vertigo in any way other than maybe the slick design. I own both (FS20) and can testify that such a comparison is just not appropriate at all. The FF Gabriel is really quite nice, I love it.

I love it! The ailleron effectiveness is anyways not for aerobatics! Formation Flying with all the comfort of a luxury aircraft - I know many who will like this very well simulated Tandem Trainer. I probably will make some nice skins for friends, who probably will buy it too. However, is there a great Paintkit for Blender? Regards!
