    Description

    Skellefteå Airport is located near the village Falmark, around 19 km south of the city center of Skellefteå.

    It was opened around 1960 with Linjeflyg flying multiple daily flights to Stockholm. Later on, the runway has been extended multiple times, the terminal has also been expanded and the airport is nowaday able to handle planes as big as Airbus A330 and Boeing 787, with the latter having been a regular visitor with TUI.

    I started to work on a scenery for Skellefteå already back in the FS2004 days but only ever making one version that was not that good.

    This iteration started three years ago but only recently took the time to complete it.

     

    It contains custom recreations of most buildings on the airport and general enhancements to the area, like the new road access way. It also includes the lengthend runway which is not in the default version.

    Very nice, but the Runway is very bumpy. The runway elevation profile should be way more smooth, or you could just flat out the whole runway.

    MSFS was missing a Skellefteå scenery and this one is excellent! Only one thing, the runway does seem excessively uneven also in MSFS 2024...is there any possibility it could be "flattened" slightly to stop the aircraft bouncing around on takeoff / landing?

    Maybe a stupid Q: There is not lit centerline, but maybe thats not standard on alla "larger" airports?

    Hi! When checking the AIP, it looks like there are no lit centerlines.

    Yeah, you really need to fix that little bump, my 737 just bump into air when accelerated to 80 knots lol. Anyway a good airport.

    Works fine and looks good (MSFS2020) but when landing on 28 my Jettime 737-800 crashed because there is a small bump in the runway.

    Have heard that from more people but did not notice it myself. Will make a fix for it early next week when I am back home.

    ive flown from this airport many times irl and you can see the vertical stabilizer over the terminal from the parking lot
