Presenting my next detailed scenery for india. This time we are visiting one of the major cities in southern india chennai. The aviation history of the city began in 1910, when a city-based Corsican hotelier Giacomo D'Angelis built an aircraft and tested it.Madras Airport was one of the first airports of India, commissioned in 1948.Although the first aircraft "de Havilland" landed in Madras Airport in 1932, the usage was confined only to military operations during World War II In 1952, the Civil Aviation Department took over its operations followed by the AAI in 1972.  It is located in Tirusulam, 21 km (13 mi) from the city centre. Chennai International Airport is the fourth busiest airport in India behind New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore and third busiest in international traffic and cargo capacity in the country behind New Delhi and Mumbai. It is also 49th busiest airport in Asia making it one of the four major airports in India under the top 50 list. In financial year 2020, the airport handled 22.27 million passengers.

Known Issues:

Below are few known issues exists in the scenery that is mostly limited to the simulation.

• Terminal building may flicker when viewed at a distance.
• Transparent glass on the terminal may flicker when viewed very close.
• The runway bridge on the runway 12-30 appears floating above the water, this is because of the terrain limitation in the sim, which is not placing the object on the ground when it is below the ground level.
• Taxilight/Runway light over the bridge will illuminate the aircraft cockpit.

Update 1.1

• Rescaled interior objects to more accurate dimensions.
• Added ceiling light objects inside the terminal for more realistic look from apron during night time.
• Few modelling enhancements.

Update 2.0 (Major Update)

• Custom animated glass jetways.
• Custom taxiway line markings.
• Added gate numbers to the apron taxi lines.
• Added gate stands with gate number and coordinates.
• Added ground service with proper routes. Ground vehicles will no longer drive in runway or taxiway.
• Added few decals to the old terminal.
• Added animated wig-wag lights near hold short positions.
• Added static marine traffic near the coast. (Fishing & Cargo Ships). This should enhance the overall approach to RWY25.
• Enhancements to the harbour area.
