Description

PMDG EFB+ is a lightweight mod to enhance the EFB of supported PMDG aircraft.

Compatible with all EFBs from the following PMDG products: 737-600/-700/-800/-900, Boeing 777-200ER/-200LR/-200F/-300ER.

I cannot currently provide support or verify compatibility with MSFS Marketplace versions. Please use it at your own discretion.

PMDG updates may affect the compatibility of this mod. Some features may not work after updating. I will do my best to review any changes and release a compatibility update as soon as possible. Bear in mind that reviewing and fixing takes time. I appreciate your patience. Thank you.

Features

LIDO charts — option to use Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024's own LIDO charts
within the EFB, alongside PMDG's Navigraph integration.
Extra map zoom buttons — additional zoom features on the enroute map:
Taxi Zoom (zoom all the way in) and Enroute Zoom (zoom out to see the route).
Dynamic EFB wallpaper — the tablet home-screen wallpaper changes automatically to
match your airline, based on the callsign of your loaded SimBrief flight plan.
GSX app (beta) — a new GSX app on the tablet homescreen: control the full GSX
Pro menu from the EFB and watch live service status (refueling, catering, boarding
with passenger/cargo progress, deboarding, pushback). Requires GSX Pro.
Checklists app — a new Checklists app on the tablet homescreen that shows
your aircraft checklists, formatted from simple text files. It comes with ready-to-use
Boeing 737-800 and 777-300ER normal checklists, and you can add your own. It
shows the checklists for the aircraft you're flying, with an Interactive mode (tap
each item to tick it off, with progress and reset) or a Read-only mode.

How to install (easy)

Unzip this download anywhere (for example, your Desktop). Keep all the files
together in the same folder.
Double-click Install.bat.
A window opens, finds your PMDG aircraft automatically, and installs the mod.
When it says "Install complete!", press Enter to close it.
Restart Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Done!

That's it. Open the tablet (EFB) and you'll see the new map buttons, and a new
Chart Provider option in the EFB's Settings.

If Windows shows a blue "Windows protected your PC" box: click More info, then
Run anyway. (This appears for any downloaded script; the files are plain text and
you can open Install.ps1 in Notepad to read exactly what it does.)

I've experimented with PDFs on the tablet, but with limited success so far. It's definitely a cool feature, but it needs to be tested more thoroughly. Another issue is getting files onto the tablet.

#boot# gsx has been closed from the tray icon use start coualti for gsx msfs to restart it

Does anyone else have this message, therefore I cant get the blue menu to load into the EFB

That message is actually from GSX, not the tablet mod. The GSX app on the tablet just passes it through. It means GSX's background engine 'Couatl' has stopped (it got closed from the system tray or crashed).

You can fix it by restarting it: Press the Windows key, type Couatl, and run the "Start Couatl for GSX MSFS" shortcut. Wait ~15 sec and GSX comes back. Or just restart MSFS (Couatl starts with the sim). Then reopen the GSX page.

Tom, no i's still showing the same, couatl is in the system tray and GSX connected is in green on the EFB tablet, but I'm still getting the restart message

Yes, GSX still works via the shift + F12 method and by clicking the icon in the top of the screen, all the functions are displayed in the right window of the EFB, just where the blue options should be, is where I get that message, when I push GSX/refresh at the bottom(orange tab) nothing happens

Let me check the code to see if the mod is caching a stale request.

For now, please try reinstalling the mod by running the installer again to fix the issue. Let me know if the problem persists.

Ok Tom, I also wonder if it’s due to not having a simbrief flight plan, it’s still showing the last flight I did from JFK to EHAM, so maybe when I do my next flight with the flight plan bar green(it’s currently red), that might be it, I’m working away until Thursday but I’ll have a try then and see if that works

Hey, I really want to thank you this is a great mod for any PMDG aircraft. May I ask you, where to find the folder for the dynamic wallpapers, as described in the ReadMe, I was unfortunately unable to find its location. Thank you in advance
