    Description

    The Icelandair (Hekla Aurora) livery for the Bluebird Simulations Boeing 757-200

    4K DDS Textures.

    Simply drag the contents of the RAR file into your MSFS community folder to install.

    Known Issues:

    • The green arrow is currently missing from the belly. I'll add it as soon as I've found more reference images.
    • The SATCOM is currently invisible. I'll make this visible as soon as Bluebird reveals how to do so.
    • The rear plugged windows are currently not plugged. I'll plug them as soon as Bluebird reveals how to.
    • Some doorframes appear too thick. I'll investigate a fix for this.
    • The cockpit registration doesn't currently display TF-FIU. Again, I'm waiting for Bluebird's advice on this/
    • Some odd squares and rectangles have appeared during export. I'm looking into a fix for this.

    Although I'd love to provide the community with a 100% perfect livery, I decided to release this highly sought-after livery as soon as possible, so TF-FIU can be brought back to life in the world of MSFS.

    There are some other textures bleeding through the nose gear doors, which makes the FIU looks weird.

    Probably hardest livery to do for any aircraft. I have a real affinity for this aircraft thx so much for doing. Not perfect but even so hopefully will be improved. Thx again for such a quick job

    For some reason it is in the MSFS selection menu as RR Scimitar/W - They're not Scimitars, blended winglets :)

    The majority of Icelandair's 757 were fitted with scimitar winglets. Although the name is misleading, as it sounds like the "split scimitar" winglet variant that featured on some 737NG aircraft, this refers to the pointed tip of the winglet. A winglet can feature a scimitar without being split.

    This add-on features the Icelandair Hekla Aurora livery for the Bluebird Simulations Boeing 757-200, designed in 4K DDS textures. The livery is inspired by TF-FIU with several noted visual details still pending updates. Installation is done by placing the files in the MSFS community folder. Current known issues are outlined, with future improvements planned by the creator.
