# In-game Model Matching & VATSIM Matching Rules

Important update note:

From version 0.6.0.0, this model matching can be used either along in the game or in VATSIM

A good model matching can bring both game flights & Vatsim flights as close to reality as possible. This community-driven open source project aims to provide an immersive experience to the community. To maximize the gaming experience, you can also start a request on our Github. All requests will be responded as soon as I can. The vatsim model matching rules are originally based on BritishAvgeek's previous work and deeply modified based on the custom models we have. It is my honor to have your contribution. (Users can replace all vmr files in BritishAvgeek's work)

 

# Instruction: 
1. You need to download the "ivao_x_csl" folded (extracted from the IVAO client) and put it into your MSFS2020 community folder

2.  Extract the Aircraft Booster Pack and put additional contents into the "ivao_x_csl" folder (Copy and Replace)

For VATSIM users:

3. Place all downloaded vmr files in the "vPilot files" folder
4. Add model matching files in vPilot client
5. Make sure VATSIM_Model_Matching_Master-Plato.vmr is on top in vPilot

 

# For vmr file editor:
For better tracking, please edit at the bottom of both vmr files.

# Note
Model matching files are widely available on Flightsim.to, you can add them to vPilot as well.
For Airline/Livery model matching, this is the most comprehensive one as far as I know.
