    Description

    This is probably the most petty scenery project I will undertake. Oshkosh's airport in Microsoft Flight Simulator is actually pretty good. However, the runways at Oshkosh have colored dots for EAA AirVenture. They don't scrub the dots each year, and the runways in the default scenery don't have them. I have fixed this. This scenery adds the colored dots only. It does not alter any other part of the airport.

    Excellent. I am using this scenery for a competition this Saturday. I did notice there were no coloured squares on 36R. They turn this taxiway into a smaller plane runway during the event and have coloured squares. Somthing to think about in your next update. We flew this in SimVenture last July with Xplane and FSX and they had scenery for both platforms with thousands of static planes and tents on the ground. Add a few more when you get a chance.

    Yeah, so about the squares...I don't have good color reference for matching in any satellite images because the latest images have them scrubbed (or they repaved it) and it wouldn't be true to life at the moment. That said, I have the NOTAM, I know where they are and what color they're supposed to be, even if it isn't matched, so maybe I'll work on a separate pack that turns the taxiway into 36R.

    I live 45 minutes from Oshkosh...and I know EAA well! And you would, of course, need to include the Ripon water tower in the design. Anyone who has ever flew into EAA knows that tower!

    If you might be interested...I may be able to hook you up with someone at the EAA Headquarters in Oshkosh. I am thinking they would love to have someone do a scenery addition of Wittman when it's all setup for EAA. I could imagine some show planes spread around the EAA grounds, parked visiting planes, and stuff. Interested? jerry@bottletreecreations.com

    During the Oshkosh fly in aircraft arriving fly from the towns of Ripon and over Fisk. Theres various VFR markers on the way and it would be great to have all that in a scenery.

    To be fair I haven't looked in game yet to see ho good it is.

    If you search YouTube there lots of reallife videos of the arrivals to see what you need to look for.

    Oh, I get what you're saying. So I've flown the Fisk arrival in real life and in the sim and I can say that it's actually quite good. In fact, it's better than good; it's outstanding.
