Here depicted the DC-6 as operated in the beginning of the operation with ABA Sweden SAS, the DC-6 were of great importance both to the consolidation of SAS  during it´s early years and also to the start of the transpolar routes, due to the exceptional reliability and the gyrocompass autopilot, shortening the travel time between scandinavia and north america and far asia. Some machines were fitted in the later abandoned sleeper variant, here visible in the upper row of small windows.

Den här avbildade DC-6 som användes i början av operationen med ABA Sweden och SAS, DC-6:n var av stor betydelse både för konsolideringen av SAS under dena första år och även för starten av de transpolära rutterna, pga. till sina exceptionella tillförlitligheten och gyrokompass -autopiloten, vilket förkortade restiden mellan Skandinavien och Nordamerika och till långt Asien. Vissa maskiner monterades i den senare övergivna sovvarianten, här synlig i den övre raden av små fönster.
