    EDAY - Strausberg - Germany - Airport - Image 1

    Description

A very simple version of the airport Strausberg/Germany. Nothing special. Just the runway and a simple taxiway.
This isn't meant for a perfect simulation experience. It was created for a Economy website to provide a place to start and land in MSFS 2020.
In case you have more details, just leave a comment. I will add what ever is necessary.

If you are not satisfied with this version, feel free to got to my github repository and change whatever you like. Afterwards create a pull request and i will add your changes and deploy a new version here. See the readme.md file provided there for details. Don't forget to tell me in which way you like to be mentioned.

The location of this airport is 52.581919, 13.915494

Helipad would be nice. Airbus H135 is nice in MSFS.

Thanks for the missing airport, I tried it out and the ground texture doesn't show up for me.

I created a separate package with the aerial imagery from Google maps. I will put it here too and inform you with another comment.

Thanks - but you know there is already a free and very detailed version of EDAY which you can download at simmershome.de - just for information.

That site doesn't allow download until you give them a ton of personal information, seems like a scam!

Yes, I was told just after loading up my version here. But I did not find the other version before so I did mine. Just decide on your own which to use. Mine is much more simple than the other.

I know the guy who is running simershome - it's definitely not a scam - it's a hi quality airport you get for free. He just wants to make sure people who download his stuff are serious.

I don't know, that guy who is running that site seems like very paranoid and/or maniac.
The whole website is very strange: automatic translation is on (it's very rare to force it on to visitors), right clicks are not allowed (so you can't even open links there in new tabs for example), and just what others have said it's a PIA to just register and get the content.

The privacy policy is a template which has been copy pasted, is not complete and vastly out of date.

Considering they claim in the privacy policy their collected personal information is necessary to fulfil the service provided (DSGVO §6 Abs 1b), I really start to question what services they offer. It is a platform to download free software. Nothing that warrants the collection of full name and full address.

Even paid services require less information upon signup and usually only require this sort of information once you want to pay for something.

My opinion of and only reaction to Rainer is "ok, boomer".

Edit: after doing a little more research on him, yes, I had my Boomer hunch confirmed, and his fanbase is all the same.

I have found that scenery in a video on YouTube, and having landed in EDAY in real life, wanted to try it in the sim, what a joke of a website it is. You can't register for download if not on a specific date, and you have to be friend of a member. There's so many toxic people in the flight sim community, in many ways.
As I saw that video and the details of the scenery, was thinking about finding the creator and asking for a refund, what a surprise you can't register to download, but you have a big donate button just there 🤣🤣 it might not be a legal scam, okay, but it's a moral scam anyway. And it's not paranoid guy, more like full crazy.
