Reactivation - EDDT Berlin Tegel - KPFN Panama City - Image 1

    Description

This is a reactivation of two airports deleted in sim update 6 today.

    The airports are -

    EDDT Berlin Tegel

KPFN Panama City–Bay County International Airport

I'm sure a few people out there are fond of them and wish for them to live again.

EDDI Tempelhof, which was also deleted in SU6, has been reinstated and worked on properly by someone else here - https://flightsim.to/file/23472/eddi-berlin-tempelhof-complete

I haven't done anything to them apart from reinstalling runways at Tegel to give them light again. When Asobo deletes airports they leave everything intact, all they do is remove the  airport object to make it selectable.

The 'main file' when you press the download button is EDDT Tegel.

If you want to do more yourself then I've also included the project files to download. Let me know if you've improved any and I'll take the version here down.

For everybody struggling like me to install the airports: when you open the install location via steam, you are NOT in the correct location where you have to put the airport folders into. The correct location is inside the roaming folder:
    %APPDATA%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community\

Put the extracted archive folder there, and it should work. In the end, you should have something like this:
    %APPDATA%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community\airport-eddt-berlintegel\
    %APPDATA%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community\airport-eddt-berlintegel\manifest.json
    ...

    Hello
Is this yet needed in 2025?
    Hasn't Asobo/MS fixed this yet?
    Thanks

Works like a charm to add the actual airport ICAO and both runways back into the sim.

Worked great. I copied the "airport-eddt-berlintegel" Folder into
    \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator\Update\Community and into
    \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator\Update\Official
I dunno which is the correct one, but it worked. The bushtrip triggerd after landing in Tegel
    Thanks a lot from Germany.

Downloaded the file, and Tegel is now in my mirror, so to speak. It waid s so frustrating having 2 bush trips that couldn't be completed because of stupid airport deletions. I'm sure this was a lot of work for Superspud, but it should have been done by Asobo as soon as the problem was evident. I can now complete all bush trips, as long as Asobo doesn't remove any other airports before I finish Germany. Thanks so much for doing for free what we paid Asobo for. Thanks so much.

I got your reply and unpacked the zip file in the community folder, still nothing. Is there some other program I need to use to install this, or steps in Developer mode? Does this site have instructions on how to add airports in this manner? Thanks again!

Still shows up fine for me. The folder is named - airport-eddt-berlintegel

I gave it a quick recompile so try this one - https://www.mediafire.com/file/az0x8bsf064uctl/airport-eddt-berlintegel.zip/file

However all of the aprons are now gone so this is no longer really viable. I won't have time to redo them for a long time to come.

Give it one more try and I'll disable this in 24 hours and put it back up when it's been worked over. Don't hold your breath though.

After I've downloaded the file, where do I place the files or what other steps are needed to actually activate the airport? Thanks!

Straight to your community folder. Can't remember the names now, but the folders will have 'airport' in them.

I've kind of lost track of these so they may have deleted more stuff. Let me know if it's a total blank, and there might be a better Tegel on here.

Thank you for providing this airport. Is there any chance you could also provide this package in the ingame store? I would love to be able to finish the Germany Bush Trip.

This allowed me to continue on the Germany Journey bush trip. I can't for the life of my figure out how they managed to create a bush trip, then erase an airport it used... when they should have known the airport was on it's way out when they MADE the trip!

    Thank you very much.
