    Description

    Note:  For 2024 compatibility kindly download the file Lachute 2024fix.  It eliminates the large ship from the scenery.

    Lachute is an active town on the southern edge of the Laurentian mountains north of Montreal. If you like flea markets and cruising on your Harley then this is one place you will be familiar with. It also is one of the first airports I used to flying into shortly after getting my private ticket back in the 60's. How it has changed.  

    Everything is custom, but features Lachute Aviation, RayDan and others.  Drop into the flying club and have a coke on the deck or join the pool part on the north side.  Check out RayDan Aviation and his amazing "Blackshape"  sport planes. Parking spot 11 -  (no model yet  just the photo on the wall)
    The dam has been adjsted slightly.

    Some recommended parking locations to start off from. 

    #1 Main Lachute Aviation clubhouse
    #6 Inside Lachute Aviation Hangar. 
    #10 Inside large hangar North Side
    #11 Inside RayDan Aviation
    #15 Inside hangar facing runway.
    #18 Inside small slant roof hangar. 

    Please make sure you have these add on packs to make your Lachute visit ideal.

    This is a a wonderful mod. However in MSFS2024 there's a giant boat in the airport lol.

    Otherwise it's great and I just ignore it for now, I'm sure you will fix it with the new game.

    Yes. I know, and of course I never put it there. I am wondering if it has to do with another mod that automatically generates ships.
    I have gone into the original file and tried various things to try and remove whatever is triggering the ship, but so far nothing is working.

    I found an instructional video that solved the problem. You will require the 2020 main file plus the Lachute 2024fix file in your community folder. thx

    Hi.. This was one of my first airports, and one I used to fly to from St. Huberts when I was an air cadet. So, a helipad will have to be included in the next updated version. I think MSFS is updating the system with the launch of MSFS 2024, so I might wait until then to do updates.

    Grew up a couple miles from the airport. Landing across the river, fly right over my high school. - 50 years ago. Super. Amazing talent. Merci.

    Un gros merci pour ce magnifique aérodrome, lorsqu'on y vole, on sait à quel point c'est bien fait!

    Une note, depuis la dernière mise à jour, la scène par défaut de MSFS entre en conflit avec celle-ci, et les édifices sont donc présents en double... un conseil pour le régler?

    EDIT: Le problème était 6 po devant l'écran, j'avais un conflit avec un autre paquet de mods. Tout va bien finalement!

    Port Hardy is one of the most important airports on Vancouver Island and is home to Wilderness Seaplane which continues to serve the region with a fleet of Gruman Goose'.  It has an ILS with glideslope on Rwy 11 -  dial in 109.5 for the localizer and glideslope.  It has a new terminal building in which the roof resembles the cross section of a wing.   I spent some wonderful days up in that area at Telegraph Cove - 40 miles south, but have been a fan of this wild and beautiful part of Canada for years. See the artwork of Emily Carr for instance. I wanted to incorportate some of the artwork of the coastal indigineous peoples -Kwakiutl First Nations -so I included them as highlighted in the terminal building.  (dugout canoe and exterior facade)
