Portmeirion North Wales hand-crafted
As requested by Mickhill and others, this is a hand-crafted effort at the unusual buildings of the Italianate village of Portmeirion.
I've not done every single building but do intend to develop the scenery over time. This first version has most of the key buildings in it.
Probably doesn't bear too close an examination, but looks pretty good when overflying.
The terrain is a real pain so some pretty big ups and downs!

Superspud has waved his magic wand and improved the terrain and heights. Also added a heliport ICAO EGN6, added Castell-Deudraeth and a few extra details here and there.

Truly beautiful. It makes me wish I could cross the Atlantic and see it for real. This is what this sim is best at, a poor mans travel machine.

It is a stunning place to visit, I live about 1.5hrs away from it and have visited many times, it really is worth adding to a "Bucketlist" of places to go to if you ever visit the UK

WOW. This is great. I've wanted someone to do a Portmeirion ever since the X-Plane days when I realised people could modify scenery. Had my honeymoon there. Loved "The Prisoner". Well done. 5* from me.

Thanks for all the nice comments so far. I'll try to get some more buildings done over the next couple of weeks.
I'm thinking it may be fun to add in some Prisoner-related items but then offer two versions so that there's a reality version and a Prisoner version.

Great start and thank you for getting the ball rolling on this one...hope over time it can be added to...the castle / hospital in the Prisoner and the rest of the village..for a bit of fun you could place a 'Rover' white weather balloon in the square and the helicopter by the pool...number 6's house and even a small model of Patrick McGoogan outside...maybe a mini moke too ...you could have some real fun with this one! I was there a couple of months back :-D

Well done. After getting hooked on the original 'Prisoner' series, we spent our honeymoon there in 1968. Then we went back for family holidays. Now we go back for winter breaks. Thanks for capturing this timeless place.
