I'll look into PTP format if there is enough demand but I'm curious why the need for this? It doesn't really save any steps for the end user and drag and drop keeps it consistent with 3rd party liveries for other aircraft. Please advise.

Well all PMDG 737 liveries are uploaded in the Operations center and then put directly into the community folder.
As I'm using the Addon linker, to not have so much stuff in the community folder or to disable things easily, I would have to put that file into a different directory. So in order to activate/deactivate the 737 and its liveries I would always have to go into two different applications and disable them from different places and therfore would have more effort..
Apart from that Creating those PTP files is actually even easier than the normal community format and they don't take up as much disk space.
