Chiclayo v1.0 (SPHI for MSFS)

Capitán FAP José A. Quiñones González International Airport (IATA: CIX, ICAO: SPHI) is an airport serving Chiclayo, Peru and the surrounding metropolitan area. It is run by ADP, a private airport operator that operates various airports in northern Peru. It is the main airport of the Lambayeque Region, one of the most populous regions of Peru. Lambayeque is an important place for tourism in Perú with 3 museums and lots of places where to eat delicious seafood, and agroindustrial exportation. The airport is named after Jose Quiñones Gonzalez, an FAP pilot who was killed during the Ecuadorian-Peruvian War of 1941.

It serves domestic flights operated by LATAM Perú, SKY Perú and Viva Air Perú. Also connects to Tocumen International Airport (MPTO) in Panamá, with Copa Airlines, establishing an important link between Perú and Central América. The construction of a new airport and new domestic routes connecting Iquitos, Cusco and Arequipa. This will make Chiclayo an important HUB for domestic and international flights.
 
The airport is also used by the Peruvian Air Force (Spanish: Fuerza Aérea del Perú, FAP). It hosts one of the Air Force's two air superiority/interceptor squadrons, Escuadrón Aéreo 612 (Fighter Squadron 612 "Fighting Cocks"). The blast shelters housing the squadron's Mig 29 aircraft are visible from the airport runways.

Actually,  this airport is running Phase C of a rehabilitation program and improvement of airside (PRMLA SPHI) and during 2022 RWY 01/19 will be closed and parallel TWY D shall be enabled as RWY 01R/19L. See attached diagram to know actual landing, taxiing and takeoff procedures.

The Chiclayo VOR-DME (Ident: CLA) is 3.57 nautical miles (6.61 km) off the threshold of runway 19. The Chiclayo non-directional beacon (Ident: HIC) is located on the field. ILS Runway 19.
