    Description

    Kia Orana, welcome to the Cook Islands. Avarua Rarotonga Airporta (RAR, NCRG) serves as the Cook Islands main international airport with flights from Auckland, New Zealand being its biggest source of international traffic. The solo runway 26/08 is located on the edge of the island and provides scenic approaches and departures.

    This is my home Airport, how difficult is it to model the actual terminal?
    Will HD photos/Lidar Scans??
    Should have a mini project where all 15 Islands is scanned and updated......would love to see this..

    Hi, a really nice scenery. However, the Airport Reference Point (ARP) is wrong as it sits more or less in the middle of the island, 2.5 NM off. The correct ARP position is -21,2013 159,7990 as shown by Navigraph. A picture, taken from LNM, is enclosed
    EDIT: Better specified and correct coordinates.

    Hi! I would like to create a GSX profile for this wee airport, but I have encountered an issue with stand 2. GSX is showing it as an "isolated parking". See this screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/12tq81c

    Could you try and update this? I can't configure this stand until this issue has been resolved. Thank you!

    I mean the airport is located nearly on sea level but I can recognize more than 1000 feet at the ground.

    As Alexflies commented, I’d say this is an issue caused by setting the incorrect QNH into the altimeter. The airfield is implemented at nearly sea level

    My two cents again: the airport objects are placed correctly. But the Airport Reference Point is not at the apron's southern border, but near the highest peak of the island, about 2,5 NM off the correct position. The ARP of the default airport looks all right. This could be the explanation.
    It's such a nice work, but needs at least this fix.

    Thanks for any Pacific island improvements. I wish someone would improve every airport and field there is in the Pacific islands, all the bush strips and everything. Many of the smaller fields are impossible to even get into due to trees and graphics issues. The Pacific is one of my favorite places to fly but the airports are awful in most cases. But it was worse on FSX and earlier.
