Description
Located on the strategically-important island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea, between the villages of Bro and Väskinde, this stretch of highway has been prepared by the Swedish Air Force to serve as an auxiliary air base during times of crisis. It has also been used during military exercises in recent years. The runway section is 2000 meters (6562 feet) long, and has parking/turnaround areas at each end. The narrowness of the runway and the closely surrounding forests make for a challenging landing approach.
To see all static aircraft and ground vehicle models, the following libraries are required:
The assigned ICAO code, ESBR, is fictitious.
If you enjoy this airport and would like more practice landing fast jets on public roads, check out Krupets Highway Airstrip and DOL Wielbark.
