    Saul Bass created what I think was the best United Airlines livery; tragic the iconic tulip never made it in some way to the livery of today.

    But to hell with it; here she is on our beloved A320neo.

    Tulips forever!

    I noticed that it's not updated with the latest FBW stuff, the paint was misaligned on one of the winglets, and the registration won't display either. If you're still painting, do you plan on updating your liveries?

    This is really great - my dad flew for United and I remember flying on the Saul Bass planes as a kid!

    Any chance you might do a Battleship livery with this level of quality?

    My dad retired from United in 1997 as their international food service and Catering Manager after 30+ years of service. Spent a lot of time at various airports in all the behind the scene areas as a kid. It was pretty cool to say the least.

    This is right up there with some of the Landor stuff. I do like the blue tulip livery just prior to merger. So sad to see that go. Well done.

    As long as United makes it through the next 5 years during this economic crisis, I think the tulip shall make a return. As you pointed out, its Saul Bass... not very likely somebody will come up with a more iconic logo than the one they have already. I'm betting the advertising agencies of the world are working full time trying to create ads that will get butts filling the seats again. One of the reliable tools in that regard is nostalgia, so I am willing to bet we might be hearing George Gershwin's 'Rhapsody in Blue' and seeing that iconic tulip again soon. Until then I will happily use your livery instead. You do great work, thanks for sharing!
