    Description

    Sphinx International Airport HESX / SPX is a small airport on the western side of Cairo, Egypt. It was built on the grounds of the HECW military airport with a runway of 3650m and is completely missing in FS2020. The airport is mainly served by charter airlines, e.g. Condor Germany from Frankfurt and Easyjet from Berlin. Runway 34L has an ILS or RNP approach, the apron has 8 gates, 4 gates have jetways. The (real) airport is still under construction.

    I recreated the airport with standard objects of FS2020. The ground layout is based on the official charts from January 2022. 

    • moving jetways
    • night lighting
    • moving fuel truck, if you call
    • correct taxiways and signs (status 01/2022)

    Enjoy the standard ILS approach to runway 34L with views of Cairo City, River Nil, Cairo International Airport, Sakkara on your left hand side and on the right Gizeh Plateau with the Pyramids and the Sphinx.
