    Description

    A small application to launch all Sim related apps such as vPilot, Volanta, etc. Just tell the app which other apps you want to run and then press Launch!

    Currently the app is in the early stages of development, with more features in development.

     

    Installation Instructions:

    Unzip the folder to somewhere on your computer and run the FsLauncher.exe file. The first time you launch press the red “search for Steam” button which will look for steam. The same goes for the other button. Once both are green then it has found all it needs.

    To add other apps, use the buttons at the top of the columns.

    Upcoming Features:

    Profiles/state saving

    Copy files, e.g GSX sounds/textures

    Notes:

    When updating copy the paths.cvs file and then delete the whole folder. This stops you having to re add all the apps.

    The latest version should now work with the Ms store version by leaving the steam button red, it should also work with other simulators, but this is not tested.

    V1 is an almost complete re-write of the software using customtkinter by https://customtkinter.tomschimansky.com/.

    Good start for this app, thanks for posting. However every time I launch it I have to enable all the apps before hitting launch. I would like that it should at least persist all the apps you have selected, so you don't have to select them every time, otherwise it does not really save me much time. Profiles will be fine in the future, but right now it needs just one 'profile', which is what you last selected.

    Что-то не пойму, как аботает программа.
    1. Указываю путь запуска MSFS(store)
    2. Подключаю приложения
    3. Нажимаю Launch......
    Приложения запускаются, Симулятор - НЕТ, конпка Search for MSFS горит Красным цветом

    Thanks for downloading the app. I’ve not got the store version so wasn’t able to test. I’ll have a look into the issue over the coming days and see if I can find a solution.
    For now try deleting and re-download the app. When using it don’t look for steam just the MSFS executable. So the steam button should be red and the MSFS should be green.
    Hope this works but I’ll have a look through the code on my end.

    Is there a file called "paths.csv". If so what is in that file?
    I've done some testing and its likely an issue with the code so looking for a fix now!

    Technically it only works with the steam version , but I'm currently writing V1 which should fix that. At the moment you can get around this by pointing it to steam and then the store version of MSFS. It will launch steam as well that can then be closed. If you don't have steam then the new version should hopefully be out this weekend (no guarantee unfortunately)

    Hello, it is a very good idea but does not work: scan for steam and then..... nothing
    Unable to point to a program or open the settings
    A lot of work has to be done

    I agree, still lots of work.
    When you press scan does it open up the file explorer window and allow you to select steam.exe?

    Do it again but watch out; the first time the dialogue asks for flightsim.exe then steam.exe...they look almost the same right now.

    As of V0.2 you should only need to find steam since it automatically detects where msfs is based on that, unless you have moved it. So the order now is steam then msfs if it can't find it.

    Another good thing to have would be profiles - since different planes would need different add-on software ;)

    And that not every app is starting on the same time - since some apps should be started, after MSFS is up and running.

    I am planning to add features such as remembering the last configuration you selected but the idea for setups for different adons is a great idea. I’ll see what I can do.
