Description
The Chotia Weedhopper is a high-wing tricycle gear ultralight that was designed by John Chotia in the the mid to late 1970's. and was designed to be a kit built at home. This iteration sports a single 40 horse-power Rotax 447 engine and a two bladed prop. This little bird lifts right of the ground like a feather on the wind but be cautions as it only has two axis of control: yaw and pitch. It may prove a bit of a challenge at first but once mastered its a very fun little plane to fly. I also included a floats variation as I love float planes, it should even be able to land on grass strips
Have fun and fly safe!
This is my first MSFS add-on and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Any feedback would be most appreciated

First flight was the Bahamas and second was over the Grand Canyon, and I got some great screenshots. Thanks for a cool little plane/ultralight/thing
I'll ad that I use a Thrustmaster joystick/throttle so controlling the thing was just fine!!

Do you think you could add the ai.cfg config?
I was trying to add the aircraft to the M3 (Multiplayer Model Matching) tool so I can use it as a replacement for aircraft I don't own. It wouldn't accept it due to this missing file.

I think the modeling and animations are well done. Everything necessary is there and detailed. A few meshes could be improved by enabling smooth shading, but that doesn't detract from the experience. The wing fabric material is very good.

Just a remark, despite it's a two axis aircraft, elevator and rudder should be controled by the stick (like it's animated), and pedals just for taxi. You can try this as example : https://flightsim.to/file/53893/pou-du-ciel-hm293 .

The way its animated was as close as I could get as the only way I could have the stick move with the rudder is if it was tied to the rudder. I know of no other ways to code it alternatively without it being tied to ailerons which would be unrealistic. Someone suggested using an alternative yoke profile, which in my opinion is a very good idea as I find it unrealistic to control with the feet as well :)

I created a SPAD profile so that my stick controls rudder and elevator instead of aileron and elevator, and added a fuel cutoff to the pinky switch when held. I still use my rudder pedals for taxing and braking. Highly recommended. Others can do this without SPAD as well just by creating a profile for their stick for the Weedhopper that has the aileron axis mapped to rudder.
