    Description

    This is a repaint for the TFDi Design MD-11F in colours of Lufthansa - new design.

    The following registrations are included:

    D-ALCA normal version + missmatch: grey engine parts, grey engine 2 reverser

    D-ALCB - normal version + missmatch: grey engine parts, slightly brighter blue engine 2 reverser

    D-ALCC

    D-ALCC - 'Farewell MD-11' sticker, 'Thank you' sticker on main cargo door

    D-ALCD - normal version + missmatch: grey engine parts, white engine 2 reverser

     

    To reduce file size I have added a 'livery' called 'Lufthansa Commons'

    In MSFS 2020 it doesn't show up in the sim menu intentionally.

    In MSFS 2024 it shows up and can be used as D-ALCA.

    Installation via Drag and Drop:

    1: Extract the *.zip file to a temporary location, ie desktop
    2: Insert the folder 'tfdidesign-md11-gec-new-commons' and at least one of the registration folders e.g. 'tfdidesign-md11-gec-new-dalcc' into your community folder
    3: Start MSFS, choose the installed livery and enjoy!
    4: Leave the 'Lufthansa Cargo Commons' installed as long as you use this pack, as shared textures are stored there needed for all liveries of this package.

    I noticed that the 2020 Version is still labeled 1.4. Is that still updated for the new art update?

    It's the new version I guess. Can't remember honestly. But the file name matches the ones I converted recently. I've added the 2020 file as additional file, it wasn't present before the update, so I can put any version number in, missed it here to match with the 2024 version.

    How did you get the landing gear to go down in your thumbnail/in the hangar? Thanks for the livery, it looks great.

    Thank you. A livery can't change the planes behaviour. All thumbnails should show the plane flying with landing gear up/retracted. If it doesn't, it's an old thumbnail. TFDi released the plane to Collectors Owner with a thumbnail just like every other MSFS plane (profile from the side, gear down). At some point they changed something inside the configs, so now we got the floating MD in the hangar/on the thumbnail. I personally don't like that, but if the developer decides to go completely against MSFS mainstream so be it.

    Hey, I get 2 errors
    One is when distracting, there's something thats not working.. and when dragging it into the community folder it says one of the names of the DALCC is too long :)
    Otherwise I really like it

    The 'too long' error is a Windows one. You could try to shorten the main folder 'tfdidesign-aircraft-md11-lufthansa-new-d-alcc' to something shorter like 'tfdi-md-11-lh-d-alcc'. But be careful there and only change the name of the folder you actually drop into the community, so nothing inside the mentioned folder as the sim reads out the file paths, if they don't match any more the livery won't work.
    If you get an error while extracting, try to put it somewhere with a shorter path (e.g. your Windows Downloads folder or Desktop) and try extracting again.

    On the right side of Lufthansa D-ALCD normal version I see a bit of the TFDI Design logo, also on the left wing tip. thanks and it looks good!!

    Did you follow the instructions?
    Insert the folder 'tfdidesign-aircraft-md11-lufthansa-new-commons' and at least one of the 'tfdidesign-aircraft-md11-lufthansa-new-d-alcx' into your community folder

    Really beautiful liveries, many thanks! Just one thing I dislike a bit are the very rusty engine rear cones. Would look so much better when they were shiny, also on your other Lufthansa livery packs. Cheers :D

    Thanks for your feedback. The rear engines cones use the default material, maybe TFDi give them an upgrade.

    Hello, unfortunately I have it showing me errors when I unpack it. And after installing the paintwork is pink.....downloaded again, same error :-( other paintwork works perfectly
