    BORG EL ARAB INTERNATION AIRPORT (ICAO: HEBA New ICAO)

    Located in Alexandria (EGYPT) 

    Borg El Arab International Airport (HBE) is being renamed to Alexandria International Airport (ICAO: HEAX), effective September 4, 2025, to boost its regional identity. The airport is undergoing a major expansion, including a new terminal and improved infrastructure to increase capacity.

    Alexandria International Airport (IATA: ALY, ICAO: HEAX) (Arabic:مطار الاسكندرية الدولي) is the international airport of Alexandria, Egypt. It is located about 40 km (25 mi) southwest of Alexandria, in Borg El Arab . The airport also serves the nearby areas of the Nile Delta.

    !!NOTE!!
    The Update is only for msfs 2024 and it's not convertible to msfs2020

    Due to MSFS limitation the old ICAO (HEBA) can't be changed in the sim I tried every way I found and contacted MSFS Support they said the only way is to wait for it to update it in later SimUpdate. !But You can use navigraph subscription to update the aircraft AIRAC it will update it in the sim!

    Installation
    - Unzip the Main File, then  choose the file 2020 or 2024 based on your sim drag and drop "airport-heba-borg-el-arab" for 2020 or "loay-airport-heax-alexandria-intl" for 2024 --> into your community folder.

    - sometimes when landing papi doesn't work correct as it should.

    Did you use the old version for msfs 2020? also it only has terminal 1. terminal 2 doesn't exist yet in msfs 2020

    Had a heck of a time unpacking the .ZIP file; kept getting an error message about the file names being too long. In the end, I copied the .ZIP to a USB drive and extracted to a root file named "1" on the USB.

    For future reference, I find that using something like winRAR should fix this issue, even on a regular .zip file :)

    For whatever reason I cannot get HEAX to show up in 2024. I updated the AIRINC to the latest and everything. Any idea why?

    it's the old icao in the sim (HEBA) just update the aircraft airac and it will be HEAX in your aircraft system (if you don't have navigraph subscription I recommend to not update the airac because it will use the old (heba) in simbrief

    Extracting with default windows 11 corrupts some files, I had to use WinRAR and that fixed it. Thank you.

    Scenery isn't compatible with BeyondATC. Is it because the airport can't be renamed to HEAX?

    I didn't check batc. But beyond atc takes from airport data if your simbrief departure is heax beyond atc will load wrong airport. It should be HEBA as the sim do. Again I didn't check but it's just a theory. I will check it later.

    You have to use old AIRAC in simbrief then link the BATC after that create the new flight plan with the new airac and insert it to the aircraft it will work
