    Description

    Arlington Municipal Airport (KAWO) is a general aviation field situated approx 10 miles NNW of Boeing's main airport of Everett in Washington State, and nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, at the fork of the Stillaguarmish river.
    To the east is the magnificent Snoqualmie National Forest containing Mount Baker.


    Over 200 aircraft are based at this busy airfield, including helicopters ultralights and gliders.
    The majority of the residents are privately owned.


    They hold an airshow once a year, normally in August.

     

    This creation is based on the default Asobo/Microsoft airport, with updated buildings and hangars where I could find decent replacements.

    This is my first attempt at scenery building, and so far it's been most enjoyable.
    I plan to update this even more, espcially once I have mastered Blender.


    I welcome constructed criticism and requests.


    Just Flight have a wonderful version of this, but it's only for X-Plane.

     

    Problem does not seem to be my scenery so now here is V1.4
    Working on both FS020 and FS2024

    Reverting back to V1.03 whilst I work out what the problem is with V1.2 causing sim to hang on load.

    Fencing complete from cafe on Eastern side to Southside buildings

    Version 1.02:

    Changed runway 34 so that it does not bleed through any more

    Added two new buildings to Eastern side

    Started initial fencing in of the airfield.

    Nice work..

    I am not sure what prerequisites might be in 2024, could you clarify? - or is it the same that was listed for the 2020 version?

    The libraries used were for use in FS2020, and seem to be working fine in FS2024.
    If you use something like addonslinker, then you can just point your existing libraries to FS2024.
    Glad you like the scenery, I will update this as and when I get some spare time. It's nearly a year since it was originally created.

    THis is a wonderful project. Thank you! I actually spent some time around KAWO last year taking pictures in the hope that I would have time to learn airport improvements for MSFS. I believe that I do have some good images of the airport administration buildings that are missing just off the main ramp, and would be happy to forward them to you if you would like them to build these buildings.

    I have been playing around with this, but the old asobo aiport runway still seems to creep through. I cannot find a was around this at th moment.

    I seem to have managed to stop the two runways conflicting now in V.1.03
