Description
IF THE AIRCRAFT PITCHES DOWN RANODMLY TURN ON LEGACY CONTROLLS!!
Hello! This took a long time to convert it for microsoft flight simulator. It took me hours and days of work so please enjoy!
-The cockpit is the one of an A320NEO (default)
-1 Livery included but more can be found here: https://flightsim.to/file/66871/fsx-ported-livery-pack-for-lev-s-a380
-Simbrief profile: https://dispatch.simbrief.com/airframes/share/765955_1696442303076 Might not work properly, but it's better than the built in A388 in Simbrief
LANDING SPEEDS - 160kts flaps have to be keybinded or else they won't fully extend
UPDATES TO COME:
- Better textures
- Cleanup
- Only engine 1 and 2 aniamtions work
- Does not emit Light
Drag and drop now supported.
Delete both A380 and A380_CVT for updating!!
For filing bug reports either DM me on flightsim.to or join my discord server and file a report
Also keep in mind that this is just a little side-project.
This was made by me and if you want to help me out fix issues and stay up to date feel free to join my Virtual Airline: https://www.allnipponairwaysvirtual.site/

First, the cockpit is clearly not made for the A380. It looks like an A320 cockpit, and you can immediately notice the throttle only has two levers even though the A380 has four engines. That already breaks immersion and makes it feel like the aircraft is just a reskin rather than a proper Airbus A380.
The textures are also quite low quality. It feels like something straight out of an older simulator rather than something designed for modern graphics. I could forgive that if the aircraft flew well, but the flight model is where the biggest problems appear.
Takeoff felt extremely heavy and strange. The aircraft required unusually high speed before it even attempted to lift, and overall the handling felt unrealistic. During my attempt, the aircraft was already accelerating past roughly 240–250 knots and it still struggled to lift off the runway, which feels far beyond what would normally be expected for an airliner of this type.
During approach and landing, the aircraft behaves even worse. If the throttle is set to idle, the plane instantly drops like a rock instead of gliding normally. It feels less like flying an airliner and more like controlling something with wings that barely generate lift.
Turning is also problematic. Even simple turns can cause the aircraft to rapidly lose altitude, making it very difficult to control on approach.
Another strange issue appears when switching camera views. In cockpit view, if you move the camera out of the cockpit, the entire aircraft model disappears, leaving you basically flying a floating cockpit. Switching back to external view brings the aircraft body back again, which is very immersion-breaking.
Overall, the idea of having an A380 in MSFS is exciting, but this particular port feels unfinished. It might be fine for screenshots or casual experimentation, but for actual flying it becomes frustrating quickly.
Pros
It does add an A380 model to the simulator.
Works as a quick way to see the aircraft externally.
Cons
Cockpit appears to be reused from another aircraft.
Flight model feels unrealistic.
Low quality textures.
Camera issues where the aircraft body disappears in cockpit view.
Difficult and unstable handling during takeoff and landing.
Because of these issues, it may be better to wait for a more complete A380 add-on rather than relying on this FSX port.
