    Description

    Welcome aboard the Heli-Forester. A vessel anchored in Seymour Inlet, BC specifically for helicopter logging and home of around 40 lumberjacks. There is a lot of forestry work to do in this area. So fuel up your helicopter and get ready to transport the crew to one of the many logging sites in the mountains, return logs to the drop zone or shuttle to the mill and pick up other workers and supply. All the logging Pads, Boats, Barges, Tugs and orher tools are custom modeled for this project. Only required Library is the Backcountry from Wookie for all the tree logs swimming and lying around the sites.

     

    The Heli- Forester is found via the fake icao code "CSY01"

    +++ Please don't use the runway start point, its a water RWY for seaplanes only +++

    +++ Numbers for HELIPADS are randomly asigned by msfs - Parking Positions are numbered correctly and corelates to missions by BlueEcko+++

    Rooftop Helipad on Heli-Forester parking pos 101 OR Helipad 7 (new Number)

    parking on barge position 100 - for refueling or bigger Helicopters OR Helipad  (? new Number)

    Mill parking 200 - there is a floating pad, passengers will take the boat to shuttle onshore 

    spots 1-11 logging pads in the mountains

    The scenery in MSFS 2024 shows hills barren of any tall trees. How can I fix that? Thank you.

    Without further information, I’m unfortunately not able to say anything specific about the issue.
    Please describe the problem in more detail—for example, which airport or hill you’re referring to, your graphics settings, and whether you’re using any mods. Even better, provide a few screenshots.

    I am very sorry but I am unable to locate the areas, no vessel in Seymour inlet, CSY01 does not exist (in MSFS 2024). Your comment "024 compatible, make sure to delete old version first (30West-logging folder) " does not really help as the entire downloaded folder is called 30west-logging. I also downloaded wookie's files, but could not find anything related to forestry. Any tips?

    -> That sounds like it is not in your community folder. Extract and copy the folder in your com- folder or linknit with addon- linker.

    -> since it is an updated version it makes sense to delete old installed addon first. If you have an old copy, remove it first. If you are using it for the first time and you don’t have it installed already, you don’t need to delete anything of course! Not sure if that means you deleted that folder, and that is the reason you don’t find it ;)

    In the description you can find the coordinates. Copy them and start your flight there. WorldMap search for CSY and you find it as well - if it is installed.

    -> I just used a few trees from that Library. If not installed you have a few trunks less but it doesn’t matter that much. Drop zone is the only resson to have it. Check the linked video foe reference.

    Thank you, 30West. I found the solution: when downloading a compressed file, usually the folder in it, when clicking it, can be copied to Communities. In this case, the folder 30West-heli... in the compressed folder needs to be clicked again to get to the 30west-logging folder - that needs to be copied to Communities. Got it. It works, although a hit to my fps. I like it.

    Very Nice Work, after update to 2024 compatible Version, Scenery stutterin massiv in my 2020, I was stupid and deleted all the old 2020 files.

    Just cleaned out, there is no diffence between the 2020 and 2024 files. Safe to delete the old 20 folder. But make sure to delete the old folder first snd install (copy paste) afterwards. Just copy paste could lead a mess.

    Thank you for this great scenery, it even works with 2024 with only minor issues. This is where I spend most of my time, it is a lot of fun also with other helis, like Taog's 500 or the Cowansim 206.

    should it be a folder with two .json files and a hpgmission folder and within the folder it says HPG Missions BlueEcko Seymor?

    Hi Derf292,
    the json is part of BlueEckos missions based on my scenery for the HeliForester. You‘ll need my scenery (this one here) and place the included folder in your community folder.

    For the missions (https://flightsim.to/file/67754/hpg-airbus-h145-action-pack-seymour-inlet-heli-logging-mission) you place his folder also in your community folder.
    So you‘ll have two folders. But for installation of his missions refer to his instructions please.

    Great work, I've updated OpenStreetMap with the Heli Forester locations, so they appear on the tablet map and on little navmap etc.

    Wish I Had the time and talent for creating this type of content.

    Not only, but the H145 from hype was the first bird offering sling loads. You can land on the pads with any helicopter and can dock with a seaplane at the boat. Have fun
