Yambaitok is a remote village in the Higlands of Papua New Guinea (PNG). The airstrip (ICAO code = AYYZ) sits on a ridge top at the meeting point of two rivers, surrounded by magnificent tropical mountains. Due to high terrain, landing is only possible on runway 21 with a challenging right hand circle-to-land approach and a very short final. All departures are from runway 03. Watch out for the puddles of water after a rainy day, it's slippery ! If you are heading south, be sure to calculate your performances to be able to clear the terrain on your right, especially if you take off with a Kodiak full of coffee beans and passengers.

There was already a good mod for this airfield, but I believe this one is a great improvement. There are many hours of work and this is my first public release. so be forgiving if something isn't right. And let me know in the comments, so I can eventually check it out.

The screenshots are taken using the payware "Bijan's 4 seasons" mod wich changes the vegetation biome (recommended but not mandatory).

IMPORTANT 

• Extract the dowloaded package "croixpaille-airport-ayyz-yambaitok" in your community folder.
• You must download and install the libraries listed below as "dependencies" in your community folder to be able to see all the buildings, objects, people...
• If you have any issue with performance, let me know. I built this scenery with a pretty powerfull PC (CPU 13700K, GPU 4080, 32GO RAM). On my end, I get around 40 FPS looking around the airfierd with all settings maxed out (TLOD 400, OLOD 200...), so I hope it runs smooth on your side.
• If, for any reason, the airfield doesn't show up on the World Map, type the ICAO code "AYYZ" in the search bar of the World Map. You may have a missing library. Or maybe you need to clear your content.xml or scenery indexes file. 

DEPENDENCIES

Download them all to be sure that everything is functional. You won't regret it. Those assets are used by many scenery developpers. So you'll end up needing them anyway. Many thanks to those creators who share their work for freeware development !
