Summerside Airport (CYSU) is located 3.5 nautical miles (6.5 km; 4.0 mi) north-northwest of Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Runway length: 8000 ft
The airport is one of only two in existence on Prince Edward Island with an instrument approach procedure for operations in bad weather (the other being Charlottetown).
Summerside Airport scenery includes the following facilities:
- Tower and all hangars specifically modeled for this scenery.
- Corrected Runway numerotation (now 05-23)
- fuel tanks;
- Fuel truck;
- Fences;
- Parking for motor vehicles;
- Lines on the ramp;
- Several objects and vehicles;
- Correction of terrain level et vegetation;
- Light beacons;
- Solar power plant;
- Runway and taxiway texture corrections;
- Approach light system corrections;
- VASI angle correction to 2.5 degrees like the real VASI at CYSU, so not coincident with RNAV glidepath (3 degrees)
- RNAV 05 and RNAV 23 implemented
