    Description

    Hey :)

    This is also part of my Definitive Greenland Megapack (recommended). You dont have to use it though and can carry on using this version as I will be updating both in the future. If you're going for the Megapack, please uninstall this version.

     

    Called Annertusoq or Møllers Ø Lighthouse and accessible only by boat, this Lighthouse built in 1950 guards the entrance of the harbor of Sisimiut (Holsteinsborg) and lies just south of Sisimiut airport BGSS. Spot it on approach and fly over icebergs on final.

    Included are:

    • The Lighthouse (has PBR weathering, also lights up at night)
    • Extensive water masking around the Lighthouse
    • Around 200 icebergs placed in the region (they have collision, you can land on them)
    • A few boats

    Comment if you've been there IRL and recognize anything :)

    Good Stuff! I have been to Illulisaat, Aasiaat, and Kangerlusuaq. Icepergs around BGJN would be excellent!

    Cool. But we don`t really have Icebergs in Nuuk, Maniitsoq and Sisimiut. Only very small and few can be visible once pr. year or something like that. I wish some can make good improvents of Greenlandic Towns. Also Helipads :D

    Thanks for your feedback. I based the scenery of photos I found - there seem to be some but not as many or as large as these. These are fun to fly around and land on though :) And Im actually crafting the Qeqertarsuaq Heliport right now

    noticing this on the screenshots, but are the icebergs modelled with flat shading? They look a bit artificial. A combination of smooth shading with autosmooth set to like 30° may look better

    Yes, they are indeed flat shaded. I wasnt sure if the blender autosmooth view option actually carried over when exporting to the sim, so I just left it off. In some cases it enhances the Ice-feel, but for the rest I too would prefer it smooth.

    edit: the newest update made them all smooth

    yes it does export, during export the vertices at a sharp edge are duplicated to give both adjacent planes the correct flat shading. With smooth shading you get the same smoothed visuals as in the viewport. Autosmooth and Edge Split in Blender both work. I prefer Edge Split as it gives more control.
