    Description

    This is my Profile for Aerosoft Frankfurt

    The whole Airport is complete with the features you can find below.

    This profile is made for the Payware by Aerosoft found >>>here<<<
    This profile also comes with the Scenery package, but you’ll always find the latest version here. We can push updates to fs.to more quickly

    Important 

    To avoid overlapping VDGS, use either the Aerosoft VDGS or the GSX VDGS, but not both. To disable the Aerosoft VDGS, simply turn it off in the configuration settings or the .bgl under aerosoft-airport-eddf-frankfurt\scenery\EDDF_VDGS\

    What's included?

    ->          Custom vehicle placement

    ->          Custom pushback positioning and naming

    ->          VDGS placement where it is needed

    ->          Custom De-Ice pads

    ->          custom jetway root floorheights where needed

    ->          custom stop positions per aircraft type at every stand

    ->           custom sorting of Gates and Stands 

    How to install

    You will find four subfolders:

    - Full Variant: Includes walking passengers.
    - LITE Variant: Does not include walking passengers (better for performance).
    Each variant is available in two versions:

    Aerosoft VDGS
    GSX VDGS


    Important: If you are using the GSX VDGS, make sure to disable the Aerosoft VDGS in the configuration settings.

    Installation Instructions:


    Place the provided .ini and .py files into %appdata%/virtuali/GSX/MSFS.
    Ensure that only one version of the EDDF-Aerosoft.ini and eddf-aerosoft.py file is installed.


    Setup Guide – VATSIM CID / ONLY WORKS WITH GSX VDGS!

    Option 1 (Recommended)

    1. Load into Frankfurt (EDDF)
    2. A setup window will automatically open on first use
    3. Enter your VATSIM CID
    4. Confirm → Done

    Option 2 (Manual Setup)

    1. Open the file:
      EDDF-Aerosoft_handler.py

    2. Locate the CID setting

    3. Enter your VATSIM CID manually
    4. Save the file

    Many thanks for your work.

    I don't know if this has been brought up, but all airlines in T3 are shunning the building gates. They all park on the remote spots only (EK, QR...). Have these gates been assigned?

    Hi,
    thanks for this huge profile, and for keeping it up to date!

    There is a recurrent error with one of the jetway root floor heights: eddf_jetways_002_v03 needs to be 5.131 metres.
    Could you please correct this in the next update?

    Hi, I’m having a problem where the "Full - GSX VDGS" from the main download—as well as all the others—the VDGS remains black, regardless of whether I use the Main download or the Classic download. Also, is it normal for the VDGS to appear only at the active gate and not at any others?

    Just a small update: I previously said that the issue had suddenly disappeared, but for some reason it seems to have come back. The VDGS themselves work fine when they are present. However, they only appear at the stand where I loaded the aircraft, while at some other gates, such as the cargo gates, there are no VDGS at all. I’ll contact you via Discord in the next few days so we can look into it.

    Hi, thanks for the update.

    I’ve installed the latest 2.4 update and unfortunately the issue is still there. I also disabled the Aerosoft VDGS and even removed the VDGS folder, but the main display is still blank. Only the bottom status line (Boarding, Fuel, Cargo, etc.) is shown.

    I’ll attach some screenshots so you can see the issue.

    Hi Jk, great work with the GSX-Profile, it's priceless and a must have for an airport like EDDF.

    Should you accept suggestions for further updates, then I'd love to propose the following:

    - it would be great if the -B Gates ( 66B, 62B, 58B & 54B) got working jetways. In the real world the middle jetway connects to A/C parked at those -B Gates. Right now GSX tells me that it has "Bad Jetway Data". Also for this to work the high A380 Jetways would have to be moved slightly to the west. I'm not sure if, this can be done with a GSX Profile or if Aerosoft has to move the models/objects themself.
    - The display panel and the docking sensors are the other way around and they are installed at the middle jetway, not at the high A380 jetway. The sensor is installed above the display panel as shown in the pics below.
    - All Gates A69-A50 (incl. -B & -A) are used exclusively by Lufthansa. Not even Lufthansa Group or Star Alliance airlines use them.
    - A14-A40 (even ones) are used by Lufthansa Group airlines (incl ITY) + CFG,BTI,AEE,OAW
    - AEE, CFG, SWR, AUA, OCN mostly use the latter A-Gates A26-A40.
    - A22 & A20 are exclusively used by DLH & UAL (A19, A23 & A25 most likely as well, but I'm not 100% sure about this)
    - V144 & V143 are used by Lufthansa Group airlines only but mostly by DLH and sometimes OCN.
    It'd be awesome if you could include these changes!

    Hi Haui,

    thank you for your recommendations!

    Unfortunately, due to an MSFS limitation, it is currently only possible to have one active jetway per gate. The A Main and B Gates are positioned so close to each other that, due to a MSFS limitation, only one jetway can currently be assigned to these positions. Therefore, the jetway for the Main/A position is being used.

    This is caused by limitations within MSFS and cannot be resolved through the profile itself. Umberto is currently working on an update that will introduce multi-jetway support, so it may be possible to use both jetways in the future.

    I’ll also update the position of the VDGS screens in the next update. I wasn’t aware of their exact positioning before, but now I know where they are supposed to be.

    For the airline-specific gate assignments, I’m using an updated file from VATSIM Germany. I’ll also update the airline assignments based on this file in the next update.

    Hi jk,

    thanks very much for the detailed reply. I wasn't aware of the jetway limitations and now it makes more sense. Hopefully Umberto succeeds in addressing this in his coming update(s). Or maybe Asobo finally decides to improve on this.

    As for the gate assignments, I have to slightly adjust my statements from above.

    - A69-A50 I've spotted LHX just this week at A54. I suppose they are here to stay. SWR also docked to A52 & A50. So those gates are not as exclusive anymore. Still more than 90% of A/C at those gates are DLH.

    - A26-A40 SWR,CFG,AEE,OAW & TAP often use these gates along with DLH & OCN.

    I'll sum this up in a txt-file and dm it to you for easier copy&paste.

    Same issue as saif below, for me. I get the VDGS start screen and the info which task is running at the bottom, but the main info remains black. I am on the latest VDGS main version. Issue only occurs at EDDF.
