YRED Redcliffe Aerodrome and Landmarks

YRED is home to various flight training schools and maintenance facilities that service South East Queensland. It is situated underneath Brisbane controlled airspace and is owned and operated by the Moreton Bay Regional Council. 

This add on includes improvements to the default airport and currently contains the Ted Smout Memorial bridge, the Houghton Highway bridge, and the Redcliffe jetty. Other landmarks coming soon are the Woody Point jetty.

This hand crafted add on uses full PBR materials and includes the following.

• Added cone markers and gable markers to the Aerodrome
• Fix general apron layout
• Improved runway tyre gum
• Hand painted the runway lines to match the real runway
• Ted Smout Memorial Bridge
• Houghton Highway
• Redcliffe Jetty
• Redcliffe Aero Club
• Custom hangars
• Boundary fence
• Embankment

Installation

• Remove previous version if installed - Community\airport-yred
• Unzip the contents of this download into your Community folder
• Start/Restart the sim

Note: Helipad information has been added to YRED Aerodrome so it's available when helicopters come online at a future date.

This project was initially available as open source however it has grown in size beyond the free tiers offered by the major git service providers and as a result is no longer publicly available.
