    Description

    Wattay International Airport - Vientiane (VTE) (VLVT).

    Unzip the downloaded file and there should be 2 file (idoairport-modelpack , idoairport-airport-vlvt-wattay-intl). put both of them in the community file and it should work.

    I also added a "FINAL REPORT ON THE PROJECT FOR TECHNICAL SUPPORT ON CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OF VIENTIANE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IN THE LAO PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC" which give a lot of useful information like most of the chart of the airport.  

    This is my first time making an add-on so if there is any problem, tell me, i might not be able to fix it lol. This airport is not 100% accurate because of how limited the information i can get from the internet. Laos.

    If you have any more information about this airport you would like me to share, Email me(thanongsai.duangdala@gmail.com), i would love to know more about it especailly the South East and North East APRON of the airport. That part was impossible for me to fine it on the internet.

    This addon is not showing up for me, I still have the original airport. I’m using msfs 2020. How do I fix it?

    have you put both of the file( idoairport-airport-vlvt-wattay-intl and idoairport-modelpack ) that is inside the zip file and put it in the community file.

    Good airport. ILS approach is missaligned though (by a lot about 30-50 metres). Take a look at the pink diamond as the sytem aligned me to the right. I had to disengage autopilot and make corrections to the left. When aligned with runway the diamond was to the right instead in the middle.

    I don't know why is happening for Microsoft aircraft or aircraft that use Microsoft STAR but for Fenix A320, the aligned is correct, ill try to fix it on the next update but i need to learn coding.

    @IDoMusic this is FBW A320 neo (used in A321 neo by lvfr horizon mod). It is possible that payware aircraft database overwrites the msfs navdata.

    @IDoMusic I tried the approach again for RWY 13. Now the approach is completely gone in the aircraft - I couldnt even switch LOC and ILS buttons to ON to capture ILS/LOC. When I selected the approach in the Airbus MCDU it did not even fill the info like frequency and course.
    In other words. Earlier the ILS/LOC worked, but it was missaligned, now it doesnt work at all.

    It works in 2024, and it is beautiful. Very surprising when you see big companies who can't have their expensive addon working in the new version.
    Few details, which are probably set in the sim and may not be modifiable:
    - At night there is no lighting in the building. Not wanting the inside to be designed, but it looks dead scary comes the evening.
    - Static aircrafts have no ATR and Lao airlines.
    - At the bottom of the airport, there 4 parking spots missing for helicopters.
    - Couple of missing billboards coming to the car parking location.

    But this is nothing important compared to the magnificent work already done. Good job!

    That’s great to hear that it work. I still have a lot of things that is already added to fixed or modified before adding more stuff into it. Thanks for more details too, I’ll be sure to add it.

    Oh my god, it works really well in 2024! It is beautiful.
    Couple of details and I don't know if it is fixable and set in the sim:
    - at night, there is no lighting in the building, and it looks very scary.
    - Static aircrafts have no ATR and no Lao airlines.
    - there are 4 extra parking spots missing at the extreme bottom of the airport for helicopters.
    - couples of billboards coming in the parking.

    But this is only details, the airport is already magnificent compared to the default auto generated one.
