    Airbus H225 | Spain | Salvamento Maritimo EC-MCR | 8k | v4

    The design is based on HELIMER 401 (EC-MCR), a real helicopter of the Spanish Public Entity Salvamento Marítimo (SASEMAR). You can see the real one in the very H225 homepage of Airbus Helicopters here and track its recent flights here.

    This is my first livery mod for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Thank you very much to the very active people of Microsoft Flight Simulator Discord channel liveries-discusion  (👏👏👏 there you can find initial guidance for building your own).

    Version 1: some 🪳🪳🪳 😜

    Version 2: now with 8k textures and less 🪳🪳 

    Version 3: more fixes.

    Version 4: Added matte surfaces, a bit of dirt, fixed some minor glitches and updated miniatures. Enjoy! 🕹️🚁

     

    NOTE ON LODs: 😶 MSFS2024 is very agressive decreasing level of detail (LOD) to give you most frames per second (FPS). The problem is that If you are a bit far from the helicopter you will see undesired distorsions in the livery. You can avoid that by forcing LOD to 0 in Development Mode.

    Go to Devmode > Debug > Debug Model LODs > Enable force active LOD > 0 (0 = most detailled) to enjoy the model and the scenary with more detail.

    I'd prefer a 4k version, or even a 2k.
    We already have VRAM consumtion problems, I'm tired of everybody making 8k textures only, they are not worth it.

    Hi. I added both 4k and 2k versions for this EC-MCR helicopter. I see no difference in my system in terms of memory consumption or framerate . Let me know if this works for yours. 🤔

    Thanks! A bigger texture should use more VRAM, so I want to be on the safe side with the 2k textures.
    I know it's hard to determine if something is having a impact on the VRAM usage, but I want to be safe

    Hi. You need to unzip the livery folder (H225_EC-MCR v3) in the community folder that is in this location (if you in a PC):
    C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community

    Idk if you figure out liveries on the H225 On community folder but you have to make a new folder and add all the package items and put it in that folder and add that new folder to community and it works

    Sorry but I dont know how to install it. I knew how to do it in mfsf2020 and I made the same. But it isn't in the game. Are this still server laggs or do I have to change sth or just don't put all files in there? thx for help

    It works the same, in case you using a PC put the unzipped folder in your new community one.
    C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community

    I did not. Using dev mode and virtual file system. Have a read to the chanel I mention above.
