    Description

    You've got more tools than 2024 wants you to handle?

    ENTER WRAPPING TOOLBAR!

    The standard toolbar fails at providing space for all the goodies you might want it to display. Wrapping Toolbar will give you space for about 2 times 13 tools. This equals almost 42 billion tools (adjusted for inflation).

    INSTALLATION

    Unzip and drag "luzat-wrapping-toolbar" to your community folder.

    COMPATIBILITY

    Should work with at least MSFS 2024 SU2-SU4 beta and possibly newer and older versions of 2024.

    ADDITIONAL NOTES
    • This is my first upload. Doesn't work? I'll try to fix it.
    • I removed the border around the toolbar, because the implementation does not work out that well with wrapping.
    • I have not yet found a method to just make the bar wider; will need to see if I can override that definition, too.
    • The bar might work with more than 26 items, but at some point icons will move out of the top of the screen.
    • It's currently untested in VR, but should not break anything there.
    • This mod is compatible with @heklac's recommended "Handlebar Mod MSFS2024".

    Unfortunately it doesn't work for me, doesn't wrap. I'm on SU3 release (not beta)

    It should work, given that it was originally working with SU3, too. Where did you place the files? Does the addon get listed in the marketplace library under Community Content in MSFS? If it is shown, is it shown as enabled?

    For the Store version (not sure about Steam), the path should be something like:

    C:\Users\/AppData/Local/Packages/Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe/LocalCache/Packages/Community/luzat-wrapping-toolbar/

    That folder should contain layout.json, manifest.json, ContentInfo and cookedcomps. Community2024 instead of Community will probably also work (not sure if only in SU4 beta).

    I was about to be a smart ass about knowing how to install a mod since I've been heavily modding since the olden times of FS9 and I'm running over 300 community addons since MSFS2020, but checked the folder anyway.
    Turns out your mod for some reason is not compatible with MSFS Addon Linker, as it only "installed" manifest.json, not the entire mod folder.

    Manual install fixed the problem.
    Now I can finally get to the toolbar settings.... Only to find out there's no scrollbar in that either and I can't disable some of the toolbars icons...😅

    I think SU4 beta 1.6.11.0 might have fixed this issue by allowing a larger bar. At least here it's now displaying completely without wrapping. Correction: It seemed to work once, but now it doesn't; so, back to it. This addon still works with 1.6.15.0.

    hi, from the first day i have only one discomfort thing about this... appearing when i don't need it, so for me the best what you or other creative guys can to do, is make a trigger's dependency on/off. i lost a hope about //42 they want to remake perfect thing for stable simulator, but nobody know when this simulator will stable even relatively. if it possible...

    And it works with Sim Update 3, and it works beautifully along with the 'no handlebar' mod! This brings all my icons into view. Great work mate, nicely done.

    Hi luzat, this is working fine to show all the icons but it doesn't hide the toolbar like the one from heclak does. When we move the mouse we shouldn't see anything on top. If you can fix that it will be amazing. Thanks.

    Edit: Or should we use this AND the heclak mod together?

    Yes, you should use both together (as I do) if you want both features. I decided not to add the same feature to allow users to choose. I also posted an updated version of his mod in the comments on his mod page, which should work with SU1 to SU3 beta.

    If I ever make this addon configurable, I would add more features.
