    Douglas C-47 - "Tico Belle" - Image 1

    Description

New release to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the D-Day!

Tico Belle was one of the many C-47s that flew in paratroop missions in the early hours of the D-day and another two missions launching gliders, also taking part of the Operation Market Garden, Operation Varsity and Battle of the Bulge and one of the few that survived not only well into the 21st century, but also is kept in flying condition and is actually still used for parachute trainings

After the war, she served in the danish air force as VIP transport, including transporting the danish royal family in official trips. Today she is kept in perfect condition by the Valliant Air Command in Florida in the war time livery, having flown across the ocean many times to join the commemorations in Normandy.

for me it does not load in MSFS2024, it shows up in my varient selector but when i clicked on it there were no exteiror textures. i did download both files like you stated in a few comments. i tried both the community and community2024 folders. any ideas?

edit: i restarted my laptop and it works fine now. fantastic livery!

Hey friend, thanks for the amazing liveries! Unfortunately the GPS version doesn't have correctly working GNS 530/430 in the MSFS 2024 versions. It's broken, any fix for that?

Hi mate, in MSFS 2024 you need to go in the "livery" button to select the Retrofit version which has the working GPS version (no idea why they set it like that). It´s working here, hope it solves your problem too

Would appreciate if you could review the rating or remove it alltogether.

hope you have fun with her!

so this livery is not compatible with DC-3 in 2024?

Yes she is! Shows as cargo version (both classic and gps versions) even you dont own the C-47 version.

Make sure you get the main file for MSFS2024 and secondary file for MSFS2020.

The liveries look great, unfortunately in 2024 the aircraft fuselage has the dreaded pink checkerboard!! Not sure how to resolve this?!

Would love to see this added for the DC-3. The DC-3 with mods is so much more enjoyable to fly.

Every time I see the Tico Belle, I can't help thinking about the fact, that it flew as part of the Royal Danish Air Force, registered as K-684, between 1956 (August 8th 1956, to be precise) until July 31st 1982, after which she changed hands to the VAC. ;)
